I don't know what happened from when they first opened but today's order was terrible. The chicken was Dry and literally taste-Less. We ordered online and had one fry with cheese which you pay extra for and there was no cheese in sight. Again, not sure what happened today with the food but we will not be ordering from another Dave's Hot Chicken.

My 17 y/o son has been wanting to try this place (we live about 25 miles north of McKinney), so we made the little trip. Not 60 seconds in the door, the kid in front of us asks to help pay for his food. I said sure and walked to the counter. He had NO money at all. I don't know people's situation so I went ahead. $16 no big deal. We order the #1, 2 tenders and fries, and get 2 water bottles because drinks aren't included. $33! Very overpriced in my opinion for chicken. A ton of seasoning that is really overpowering. Even my son that loves hot stuff, said it was just too much. Almost like a layer on it. We went outside to sit and wait because it was a beautiful day. The boy I paid for the meal for, followed us outside. Started asking me questions about what I was doing, etc. I walked back inside to wait on the food, he followed me. I'm not sure what was going on with this kid but he continued to talk to every person at the front (some people looked annoyed) and then left. Waited 20 mins for our food. #109 was called (we were #108). Continued to be patient and saw more orders coming out that weren't ours. About to walk up to the counter, the people with order #109 come up and said hey we have your order. The food looked like it hadn't been touched, we take it (and not wanting to wait 20 more mins on food). If I get sick from someone else's germs, oh well. I walk up to the counter to get a fork (you have to ask for them) and informed the guy that our order was given to someone else. All I got was "oh ok". No I'm sorry about that or anything. Over $30 on 4 pieces of chicken and fries. There was "toast" but it was literally just bread, and then water. Not impressed with this place and don't plan to come back. I could've eaten in a restaurant for the amount of money we paid.
