The food was so good, our husbands kept taking pictures of the food 🍱🍣😋We are so lucky to have this authentic restaurant in the neighborhood. Definitely a must have- McKinney’s best kept secret!

I am a sushi snob. This is the best sushi I have ever had. I never expected that in an ordinary looking shopping strip. The food is more like art than anything else. Do not go if you are starving, go if you want the best tasting meal you’ve ever had. More expensive than a regular sushi spot but the price absolutely reflects the quality.

Unusual little place, but good food. You're better off with their daily specials. Their nigiri is one piece per, but was good. Sake and wine only.

This place is a hidden gem. We got the course b, which is kind of an Omakase. Great selection of food, great customer service and delicious food. It was close to visiting Japan. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good sushi fix.

A Hidden Gem I've Loved for Years

I've been coming to Heian Handroll Sushi Bar every weekend for the past two years, and it’s no exaggeration to say it’s the best sushi experience in town. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like family.

The quality of the fish is consistently outstanding—fresh, perfectly cut, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re a fan of traditional nigiri or inventive specialty rolls, Heian delivers every time.

If you're in McKinney and love sushi, Heian is a must-visit. After two years of weekly visits, I can confidently say it’s a place worth becoming a regular.

Had a long work day dealing with taxes wanted a quite relaxed place to grab some dinner. Found this hidden gem. Walking in felt my stress melt away. Greeting was welcoming, I sat a the sushi bar. The wet towel was the perfect touch.
Ordered:
Sashimi sake
Hand roll kanpachi
Nigiri kinmedao. Suzuki. Shuma aji. Hirame.
Special madai carpaciao. Muki hotate

The sushi was fresh and buttery. The flavours and pairing complemented the sushi. The atmosphere was relaxed. Will definitely be back.

A hidden gem! Fresh sushi with some creative ingredients that pair perfectly together. SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!!

Chef Kayden (?) was cool. He suggested some of his favorites to us. The various nigiri were excellent. The salmon hand roll and appetizers were great as well. Ask about the items not on the menu.

We also tried Osaka specialty roll, but I didn't care much for it. I'll stick to nigiri and sashimi like usual next time.

To the lady that came in and ordered a California Roll... Try the torched salmon nigiri you were watching me eat.

Reservations recommended. Free parking is widely available.

This place is a hidden gem that provides excellent service and quality fish. Jihye who was our server was thorough with the menu and the head sushi chef Kayden was chill enough to hook us up with some great hand rolls! Also , their gold black sake bottle is a must try drink with your sushi ~

Good quality of sushi and handroll

Best sushi I've ever had! Wife and I came here for a lunch date and had a really amazing experience. All the fish is incredibly fresh and tasty. The desert was fantastic also.
