The food was subpar. I got the Migas and my husband got the sweet potato hash and neither of us could taste any spice from the jalapeños. My husband said the ratio of egg to hash was off and the best part of the Migas were the tortilla strips. I asked for a side of potatoes instead of the meat that generally comes with the dish and the server said there would be a small upcharge. I agreed thinking it would be $2-$3 but when the bill came, it was an extra $6! In what world do potatoes cost more than meat, let alone half the price of the whole entree? However I will say the service was great. We were in the corner of the bar and we were checked on multiple times by multiple people. Would not go back for the food, but might stop by again for drinks and to chat with the staff.

Wonderful setting. Great people. Unique menu. First time, had steak and eggs. The steak wasn't a great cut, but cooked perfectly. My wife had an omelette. Light on the cheese but delicious. Definitely on our go-to list!

We have been eating breakfast regularly at Layered for two years. The service is consistently attentive and friendly. The food is always good, although the scrambled eggs are sometimes overcooked. The robot food delivery is great fun. The top tier coffee bar is always a treat. The restaurant is clean and the seating is comfortable. This is our family’s favorite breakfast stop.

Fantastic venue, decor and nice staff. Went for Sunday brunch and their ordered a cappuccino, mimosa (1st was $12 and each additional was $1), cornbeef hash, sweet potato bacon hash, and toast with cream cheese, strawberries and their delish freshly-made fruit compote, which was incredibly tasty. Both hashes were savory delights. Would definitely eat here again. One unique aspect was "Bella," the robot server. Our waiter explained that they use the robot because the kitchen is so far away from the seating area and the robot can carry up to twenty plates compared to a human server.

Excellent spot for brunch right on the square in downtown McKinney. The breakfast menu is incredibly diverse with traditional favorites alongside some unique flavor packed options (hash, shashuka, etc.) also bottomless mimosas and a good selection of hot beverages /

We went for breakfast on a weekend. It was busy but we had a reservation. The coffee was really good. We ordered chicken and waffles and the shockshuoka. Both were excellent and the staff was very attentive. We ate outside and the square is a great backdrop. We really enjoyed the place.

I come here for coffee all the time. I love the atmosphere and the service is terrific! I still remember the first time I came in and sat at the bar to order coffee. Best experience I’ve ever had at a bar/cafe/restaurant.

Spicy chicken sandwich should indicate that the sauce is a flood of vinegar buffalo sauce. Fries were cool and soft from riding on silly robot.Small establishment so I'm not sire of the need for a silly robot to carry plates to the tables only to have ypur server had them to you. If several tables are on the robot at a time someone's food is getting cold. Not a repeat.
