I waited here at the door for 10 minutes for this place to open. No one came to the door and two workers were standing outside waiting to be let in as well. Obviously this place has poor management who lacks the discipline to commit to the schedule that was provided. I will not be back.

I came here to celebrate my birthday and it was my first hibachi restaurant. And it was a fun experience!! Not only was the food delicious but the staff really knows how to make you feel special.Totally recommend, will be back again soon!!
Quality ingredients, poor taste. They basically "put some soy sauce on it" it was swill. Also I have a hard time believing yum yum sauce in Japan is just mayonnaise and hot mustard. Does hot mustard even exist in Japan? I bet not. Most hibachi places have an excellent yum yum sauce. This was not good at all. Then they brought the wine bottle already opened. That's not how you do it. And the check came without being asked if we wanted dessert. And we wanted dessert.I usually don't review restaurants unless they are really good or surprisingly bad. This was surprisingly bad.
After living in McKinney for 14 years this is my 1st time eating at Okada. The Philadelphia roll and California rolls were fresh tasting. I'd order them again. The restaurant was clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. The restroom was also clean
Great service, got the shrimp hibachi dinner, I've had better, it wasn't awful, but not remarkable either.....
They closed the restaurant early while people were still coming in & eating. The food had no flavor.Rice was horrible & the chef had no show or personality.I WOULD SAVE YOUR MONEY !! Waste of $150 for 2 people. Will never suggest this placeHORRIBLEWAITRESS WALKED OUT BEFORE WE WERE DONEUGGGHHH WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!
Google says they close at 10 pm, we arrived at 8:20 and door says 9:30, they started cleaning up and told us they close at 9 pm.Worst part that after 20 min of leaving my wife, son and myself got sick, spend all night in the bathroom, maybe was the soup or salad… who knows! I will not recommend, it’s expensive and you get sick. Worst ever experience.
This place used to be great but they have started to cut corners for that bottom line. They’ll sell you fish that’s already begun to spoil. Andy as others have said, overpriced; $35 for lunch is ridiculous.
All the previous reviews are spot on. Service is miserable and the prices are high for the service. The food is average to above average but service was awful. My wife called in an order and I arrived at the restaurant a half hour later. I didn’t receive my food for another half hour. During this half hour at the restaurant I witnessed 4 separate tables leave after being seated for about 20 minutes and never being greeted by a server. People who had food were telling anyone coming in to leave because it took 45 minutes to get their drinks. Plenty of staff but they all looked flustered. Stay away until they can figure out their servicing issues.
Nice CLEAN atmosphere! Waitress was amazing! Nice and quick and was very attentive. Food was great! Cook was a little fast and sloppy, but overall was a great experience. We will definitely have to drive back with our friends some time. I just have to reiterate and say that they are very clean and polite. I watched them clean table and chairs as soon as a group left!

Very good food, very good service!
Our favorite Sushi bar in the DFW!!We sometimes venture out and try new places but nothing compares to this spot!Lee has taken care of us for years and knows us by name! She is very caring and attentive. We celebrate birthdays and brings friends to this location often! The hibachi is great as well! Our favorite sushi rolls are the 007, yummy yummy and the tuna mango salsa!!
This is our second time coming here. We really enjoyed it both times. They're always so friendly and nice. There's never been an issue with getting a table. The hibachi chefs are fun and do all the fun tricks like the onion volcano ?. I ordered steak ? medium and it was medium well but still delicious ?. Kids had shrimp ? and chicken ?. We also ordered sushi ? to start. Our meals came with a soup and salad with a ginger dressing. It's a fun neighborhood hibachi restaurant worth checking out.
We were able to reserve a table for 8 on Sunday afternoon. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were celebrating a birthday and the chef made a special recognition and we were able to get some nice family photos. The food was excellent and we felt like it was worth returning to. Thank you, Okada, for making my birthday special.
Pretty average hibachi food, tbh. The service was good. Nothing was just super amazing. Waaaaaay overpriced- which is why I’m giving it 2 stars. We went at lunch, expecting that to be somewhat cheaper. I got the chicken bento, my boyfriend got the chicken hibachi, and my 2 sons shared a chicken hibachi. My boyfriend and I upgraded to fried rice. Myself and youngest son drank water. The total, after 15% tip, was $70. We definitely didn’t get $70 quality, or portions (obviously- lunch). Kinda wish we would’ve just had Shogun.
