Nick at Perry’s Pizza Delivered More Than a Meal—He Delivered Humanity

After being released from the hospital, and starving, I placed a $95+ order from Perry’s Pizza through Uber Eats. I chose them because they’ve always delivered fresh food with care and consistency. But this time, the order arrived incomplete—just one burger, the wrong fries, missing sauces. I was emotionally and physically drained, and I broke down in tears. It wasn’t just about the food—it was about trust, timing, and the weight of the day.

When I called the restaurant, I spoke with Nick, the general manager. He didn’t deflect or blame Uber. He acknowledged that the error was partly on their end and immediately took full responsibility. What followed was extraordinary.

Nick had our entire order remade, added a large cheese pizza on the house, and then personally drove the food to our home in Melissa, Texas—late at night. He didn’t just drop it off. He walked into our home, placed the food on our kitchen counter, shook our hands, and had a brief, heartfelt conversation. He was empathetic, apologetic, and deeply human.

This wasn’t just customer service—it was leadership, accountability, and compassion in action. Nick turned a painful moment into one of grace and restoration. Mistakes happen, but how you respond defines everything. Nick responded with integrity, humility, and real care.

Jazmin was an exceptional server, big smile, very friendly and helpful, we had one person come late so she held making their order until they were close and when they arrived their food came hot. This was beyond our expectations. Jazlin just made the time a pleasure and always checking on us which made the meal terrific. Nick the manager was always very accommodating, friendly, checking on us and making sure everything was going well. Will definitely praise the establishment, the workers and facilities

Zach made our visit to Parry’s Pizza in McKinney excellent! My wife and I each ordered different pizzas and loved them, our daughter enjoyed the spaghetti, and my son said the hamburger was great. Friendly service, delicious food—we’ll definitely be back!
