Recently I took two of my adult sons to my favorite restaurant, Rick's, in McKinney, and I was disappointed. The recipe of the watermelon salad changed. The water melon salad arrived in large chunks instead of a delicate,delightful arranged salad, as in the past. Also the rustic apple desert use to have a crispy crust, but not today. The crust was doughy. What happened to the perfection of the past?
Had the Elk. It was delicious. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The manager stop by several times to make sure everything was good. This is a real upscale place. A must visit every time you get to McKinney.
Went to dinner with my Mom here the other night. Carli was one of the best waitresses we have ever had, so personable and helpful. She balanced never leaving us waiting and yet not hovering. Would go back just for her.
