This is the coolest little speakeasy with an excellent bar and huge bourbon selection. You have to know the password to get in and if you don't know it's there, you won't see it.

Could’ve been a good time but unfortunately our waitress was very unprofessional. When we first came in we asked one worker if we could sit on a specific table and he gave us the green light. Waitress came and took the order for our drinks. My drink took at least 15-20 minutes long which in my opinion is a long time for a bar to make it.
Anyhow after a few minutes the place got a bit crowded and we were told to move tables by our waitress (skinny blonde lady) to a smaller table … to only find out we were in a very inconvenient spot and we couldn’t hear each others conversation because of how loud it was around and had to leave immediately. We decided to leave no tip because we didn’t feel like the service was great specially after moving us from the table and the waitress actually complained about it! In her own words “wow no tip great”.
Excuse me ? You really expect us to do that after one drink and moving us from a place we were comfortable in? No!
A TIP NEEDS TO BE EARNED ! ITS NOT A GUARANTEED. And a lot of people forget that.

Mckinney locals beware!! Been coming to the square for 20+ years and never have I ever experienced this kind of disgusting behavior here or anywhere for that matter.
Do NOT come here! This place is not only a fake "underground" speakeasy, but it's run by a set of repulsive staff!
Our company came here to celebrate our business employee being promoted to part owner of our company and instead of being welcomed on in she was treated like absolute trash the minute she walked up. Instead of being celebrated she was made to feel embarrassed, was harassed and belittled in a very public setting for wearing a "baseball" style hat, mind you it's pouring rain out. She has very long wavy hair and was trying to keep her hair contained...humidity, drizzling rain & womens hair do not mix well.
Mind you we just walked 3 blocks in the rain from having a wonderful dinner at Harvest. Decided to check out Room One Eleven for a night cap.
So she gets harassed and reduced to tears, by the “bouncer” and staff but somehow it's OK for several patrons inside to have on hats. We inquired about this and they said "sorry baseball hats weren't invented before 1920". Next time “why don’t you fix hair before coming here…”. Really?! Who acts like this or says things like this?
What a complete shame and distasteful representation of our city and beloved Mckinney Square.
While this was happening outside , we had no idea, we were waiting for 10+ minutes at the bar for everyone to come in. He finally comes over and just stands there looking right at us, not a word. So we’re having this awkward ordering moment, Then he finally opens his mouth and says “you want something?” We are all extremely annoyed with this place at this point and just want to get a drink and move on. How are social influencers recommending this place. It’s absolutely sucks and won’t recommend anyone coming here. This place is Layered Coffee house during the day, then it becomes a complete dive bar after hours.
With so many OTHER wonderful places in the area that will treat you right, make good drinks w/o being jerks AND make you feel welcome, DO NOT come here and waste your time and money.
Not only did they embarrass our business partner but our company as well for suggesting we even come here.

So it's nice for a date night, but have been to a lot of speakeasy bars and this one was a bit of a let down by comparison. It's small but other than that had the right vibe. The cocktail menu is just tiny and not very unique. Normally I find the best drinks that I have not seen elsewhere at speakeasy bars. However, even though the drinks were kind of basic, they were done very well. Definitely craft drinks worth their price. So still worth a visit if you are just craving a great old fashion or French 75

Probably the best speakeasy in all of McKinney. Service could have been 5 star but we went right after a festival on the same street and it was packed to capacity. It truly is a gem. Would recommend to anyone wanting a classy drinking experience!

We just stopped in for a drink after dinner on the square . Cool vibe ( don't forget you need the password to get entrance through the coke machine ) . Service was great . Just had one drink . Absorbed the atmosphere and left . We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday night !

Really cool experience with an amazing ambience! From the entrance where they ask you for a passcode to the history driven menu, all and all adds to the atmosphere of a speakeasy spot to be. Small touches for improvement would be adding some jazzy live music on the weekends, having the staff in antic uniforms to add authenticity, and placing some hooks under the bar for ladies to hang their purses.
This is a little gem in the downtown with great potential.

Room One Eleven is our new obsession. My husband and I have been to speakeasies in several great American cities, and not one of them has had the vibe that this one does. There's much to love about the charming town square of McKinney. But when you step into this speakeasy (which requires a password and little cleverness to find, and we adore that historical touch) -- with it's mood lighting, the intimate set-up, and glamorous black-and-white films from the golden age of Hollywood playing on the only screen in the house -- you will truly feel transported. On the night we were there, the jazz band Three Quarters Fast played classics that had the crowd singing and dancing, and we even got a New Orleans-style second line parade going. THIS is the place to have night out. Singing, dancing, camaraderie, delicious food and drink, and warm and professional service to round out the superb experience... what's not to love!? Room One Eleven, you are The Bees Knees!

I love that a place like this exists in our charming downtown. The drinks are great. The ambiance is super cute. Our server was so delightful. I’m only giving it 3 stars because it was so hot in there that even the back of our knees were sweating. Also, they don’t take reservations, but once you’re there they still don’t put your name down for a table while you wait for one to open up. This causes conflict between patrons waiting out the same table. I understand it’s first come first serve… but we waited patiently (while spending money) at the bar for a table to open. Only to be confronted by two people who’d gotten there a while after us because we took the table *they’d* been waiting for as well. It definitely put a damper on our experience.
Randy was our server tonight and she was amazing. Room One Eleven has always been the best place to have apps and the best drinks in downtown McKinney.
