Shogun Hibachi in McKinney, Texas, holds a special place in my heart as my go-to hibachi spot whenever I'm in town. With each visit, I find myself drawn back by the irresistibly delicious flavors and impeccable service. The lunch specials on weekends, especially the filet mignon with fried rice and soup, are simply phenomenal. The fried rice bursts with flavor, the filet mignon melts in your mouth, and the soup is an absolute delight. The warm greetings and excellent service only enhance the dining experience. However, what truly sets Shogun apart are the captivating hibachi shows. The talented chefs not only excel in cooking but also in performing, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the meal. Shogun Hibachi has undoubtedly earned its place as my favorite hibachi spot on the planet, and my recent two-day consecutive visits only reaffirm its excellence.

We have gone here as a family for many years to have a mass celebration of the April Birthdays and anniversary that occurs in our family every year. We love it, they are always great. It is now a family tradition we are enjoying with our 7 grandchildren.

Brought my family here for daughter’s bday. My 14 yr old had long hairs in her grilled veggies. Spent $300, and was only given a “free drink”. My daughter’s whole meal should have been refunded. Waitress waited 30 mins before bringing me my tap, guess because she felt bad. Poor service, never going back!

Delicious! Great selection of high quality sushi, and classic, high-quality hibachi performance and flavor. They gave us and the couple across from us the wrong sushi orders, but corrected it by giving us fresh rolls even though we were halfway through when we realized the mistake.

Always fun and yummy ! I only wish i didn’t need to share the table with other people as they can ruin the experience but that’s not the restaurants fault , it’s the nature of hibachi

This was a great place to have a birthday lunch! We placed a reservation for 7 people and they were very accommodating, seating us quickly and serving us very fast. The wait staff is efficient and brought our drinks, soups, and salads out almost immediately. The chef was kind and funny, cracking jokes and showing off his expertise at the table. As for the food, we thought it was good, but nothing amazing. The miso soup was very tasty and had a fruity spice to it, similar to fresh black pepper. The ginger salad was fresh but had a little too much dressing. We all ordered the fried rice which was tasty and well seasoned, but had some pieces that were a little crispy for our taste. That being said, the chef served in a cute heart mold that we thought was very precious. The teriyaki chicken was sweet, spicy, and perfectly cooked. The steak was well seasoned and the salmon was crispy and very flakey. We felt the pricing for the entrees was very fair for the amount of food you get. The appetizers and drinks on the other hand are a little pricey, so we mostly skipped.Overall, for the price, we thought it was very fair. The taste was great and had a great time watching the chef prepare our food. I can definitely see us coming back here in the future.
