These are some of the best kolaches. They are so fresh and the crossing dough is so soft. They don’t taste oily. The employees were very attentive and kept the busy long going quickly. A co workers brought these in for breakfast and I was craving them for days after. Only downside is there isn’t very much seating inside.

They make my husband’s favorite jalapeño kolache out of all of the places we’ve tried from here to Plano. I love their chocolate donuts (especially the chocolate donut holes)!

I stopped at Sonny Donuts around 11 a.m. on a recent weekday and was pleased to see they still had a nice selection of donuts remaining, and picked up a half dozen: a plain cake donut, a frosted cake donut, an old-fashioned glazed, plain glazed, a cronut, and a Spider-Man frosted donut for my toddler son.
The old-fashioned was my favorite of the bunch, nice and crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a pleasant level of sweetness. The cake donuts were all right- soft and fairly moist. I prefer a crunchy exterior, but so it goes. I tried the glazed and cronut, both were solid. Most importantly, my son loved the Spider-Man donut. While it was a little pricy, it was totally worth it to see his smile when I opened up the donut box and showed it to him.
Service was pleasant and friendly, and donuts were reasonably priced. My half dozen was $12.34 with tax. If you're in the neighborhood and thinking about donuts, this is a good stop.
