The most bland chicken and waffles I ever had. The decor wasn't great. My friend and I were sitting by a vintage safe and it was dusty. Our waitress was just okay. She seemed rushed. I definitely won't be back. There are much better restaurants in McKinney than this place.

A perfect place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Has the small town charm that you’re looking for combined with friendliness of staff to match. The food too is good and the right size portions and value.

Great work!

I paid $16 for a salad that came out on a 6.5” side plate. Then was hit with a fee for paying with a credit card.

Folks at the front desk have no time sense or respect for the folks waiting.
Called 3 hr ahead to put the name on the waitlist, waited for 1 hrs, they don’t know how to manage the seating.
They didn’t care about even checking while we were waiting. Folks ahead of us got the seating , they didn’t even try to accommodate or join tables for our party.
Very disappointed. Never going to this place ever again.

Okay food, good portion, food arrived cold, servce was extremely slow, but friendly. Wasn't that bus to have such slow service. Will not return when there are other options available.

Well, we gave it another try. July 4th, 2025.
My suggestion is to find another option if possible. Granted, it was a busy 4th, but even with reservations, we were seated late, it took ~30 minutes for our food to arrive (simple breakfast fare) and was not cooked as ordered, and consisted of cold to hot food.
On the plus side is their specialty coffee was great.

We were at Spoons Cafe for breakfast, and enjoyed our meals. The restaurant has basic breakfast offerings, and the service was exceptional. A great way to start your day if you are looking for mostly traditional American breakfast, with a few TexMex offerings.

We absolutely loved the food and their vibe! We got the chicken salad and it was SO GOOD! Our waitress was Kimberly and she was amazing and so attentive! We will definitely be back!

Not sure what the hype about is from this restaurant. Food was dry it didn’t have any taste. The coffee was not good. I over payed for food that it was mediocre

Rude, unprofessional server. And they allowed a dog in a stroller to sit in the indoor dining area. We won’t be going back.

The food and service were very good. The ambience would be nice as the restaurant is nice and cozy but a very loud Mexican Music coming from the kitchen ruins the experience as I am not a fan of that music style louder than the dining room music. Both styles at the same time, it's very unpleasant. Matters worse, even after requesting the food runner to fix the problem, the Mexican music became even louder. NOTHING against Mexican culture as I am latin myself but Spoons is not a Mexican Restaurant and the guests pleasant experience should come before the cooks wishes.

I ate here for the first time with my mom for early lunch/dinner. Our waitress, Christina, was polite and amazing! The food was so good, fresh and delicious. I had the chicken fried chicken sandwich and my mom had the BLT. Dessert was so good, made in house! Definitely will go again! ?
