We didn't have food so I couldn't rate it but, the service, atmosphere & of course iced coffees were stellar!!!

EDIT: I saw one of the staff throw bread at their employees. That rubbed me the wrong way, avoid at all cost; Sophia is the best barist, she makes our drinks with love and passion, that girl needs a raise! She is carrying that whole location, she’s saving this location.

Coffee tasted awful and gave me a headache. Got my normal caramel hot latte so dont know how that was possible. Even as an ex barista for years I couldnt figure it out. They forgot one of my items for my takeout order and the other was melted due to it all just kinda being shoved together. Not a fan. Buyer beware. Bad location

I come into Starbucks every morning before work and order my usual drive on the app on the way. Today is my birthday so I was extra happy today well I ordered my coffee 15 minutes in advance per usual because I don’t want to be late for work. Not only was my drink not ready I literally went to sit in the car to take a phone call for 10 minutes came back and they said oh thought you left so we didn’t make it! It’s a mobile order!!! I don’t have to be present you should have made the drink even if I was inside the store or not. What a great way to start my birthday off! I’m highly disappointed! It wasn’t even busy as normal! Please do better Starbucks

This is by far one of the best Starbucks locations in McKinney. The early morning crew staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I will Gladly walk in in person to this location vs a drive through for good customer service. Every person working the morning of 9.3.25 deserves recognition for their hard work and kindness

Waited 20 minutes for ONE DRINK. Was told there was 9 orders on the queue… don’t accept online orders. Went and ordered in person and that was made faster than the online orders. It ended up the order was already made and they failed to check to see if it was made before telling me it was 9 orders ahead of my online order.

The Staff that’s at cash register, I think her name is Katie . She’s very unwelcoming and comes off very rude . This isn’t my go to star bucks place and I see why . And when I told her politely that she should smile and be more welcoming she rolled her eyes and walked away . Not sure if it was my color or because she’s not a nice person but either way I’ve never experienced this at a star bucks before

Great place for a coffee. This small chain should look at expanding. All seriousness, most of these places are great and this is no exception. Friendly staff upon entry. Fast service and great large space for hanging out or working. Plenty of parking.

Bad day? Or bad location?
Like lots of other Starbucks, it’s not a comfortable place to hangout - cold and loud. Odd, because apparently corporate wants us to stick around longer. You’d think they’d get a clue.
The barista that served me seemed like he really had the Starbucks personality nailed, and was friendly enough, but a bit over talkative on the chitchat so it ended up being a little weird.
But the coffee? Wow.
He said he needed to make a fresh batch of Pike and that would be about 5 minutes.
Then, maybe 3 or 4 minutes later, he brings me the coffee and says something about if the oat milk isn’t right he can make another one. I said no I’m sure it’s fine because I don’t want to be a snob about the exact amount of oat milk in my coffee. I asked for “extra” which he seemed to understand, and whatever it ended up being would be fine I don’t care. Just give me the coffee already.

But as I’m walking to the car, I notice a cold sensation on the cup. Like if it were iced water or something.
So I get in the car, open it, and the color is just right for having a normal amount of cream or oat milk or whatever. You can tell by the color. Or at least I can, and I don’t even make coffee for a job.

But the temperature was cold. Not room temp, not warm, not hot and definitely not the extra hot that he promised. Cold. Like it came out of the fridge cold.
Ok, ok. I’m complaining about my coffee temp. Boo boo.
That’s not my problem.

My problem is that this guy got hired to work in a coffee shop that sells cold drinks AND hot drinks, and he takes people’s money, then makes those drinks and still after all that, doesn’t know what a hot drink feels like when he’s holding it.

Cold drinks feel cold, and hot drinks feel hot.
So I was promised fresh coffee that’s “extra hot”, I paid for the drink (with points, but still paid), I didn’t get to enjoy the drink, but he’s still going to collect a paycheck.
He doesn’t know the difference between hot and cold, but he works at a coffee shop. Yeah.

I could have gone back in to get another one. But I rather that he and his manager and the district manager and someone from corporate all see this review and think - “How can we make sure that this never happens again?”

Cause if I just get another coffee, the lack of attention to detail gets swept under the rug.
But this man needs more training.
Please teach him what a cold drinks FEELS like in a cup, and what a hot drink FEELS like in a cup.

So it’s back to McDonalds for bad coffee that’s actually hot. I can add some instant Bustelo to it and it’s not terrible.

I’ve marked this location on my Google maps with a big red X for “Do not return”. Too bad…
