This restaurant is super cute and spacious. It wasn't packed on a Friday night which was surprising since it's located in downtown McKinney. Our server was excellent and very efficient. Our food was kind of a mixed bag. For example, my friend ordered one of the steak options and it came with just mashed potato (which he said wasn't good- and felt like it lacked a vegetable). Second example- my chicken sandwich was quite likely the best chicken sandwich I've ever had but the fries were really basic for being truffle fries. Appetizers: ménage a hog- delish Hushpuppies- delish Chicken sandwich- phenomenal Truffle fries- mid at best Scallops- 10/10 not a fan. It could have been a bad day. I didn't even try the scallop. My friend did and I actually just tried the risotto which was way too watery and lacking in flavor. While this place was good, they didn't really stick to the bacon theme throughout the menu. There is so much opportunity to add bacon to all options.

We were disappointed in our brunch at Sugarbacon. We went in early on a Sunday and the restaurant was fairly empty. Our appetizer to start was the Sugarbacon and it came out lukewarm. We waited over 45 minutes for our entrees and most of our table did not finish their dishes or bother with asking for a to go box. Our server seemed new but he did a great job checking in and topping off our waters. The restaurant was beautiful but the food was huge disappointment unfortunately.

The service is beyond impeccable!! If you want a fabulous experience ask to be in Olivia's sections aside from her lovely charisma and excellent service she will ensure you have a great time and leave with a smile and a full stomach !

The staff was amazing! Every time we go the food and service are impeccable but last night it was a different experience. I took friends and family for a celebration and was excited to show them the purple drink but it was missing the smoke, our food took 45 mins to hit the table and our salads had brown, slimy lettuce and my steak was barely edible. I was so disappointed, it’s so unlike Sugarbacon to let those quality issues slip by. The fondue appetizer was so good as usual and the three people in our party who got burgers absolutely loved them!

Disappointed. We've eaten there before and had a much better experience. I can't say whether this is a one time thing or it is going downhill. On the positive side, the brussels sprouts were amazing, the short ribs sandwich was very good and the truffle fries were definitely worth coming back for. Unfortunately on the negative side the deviled eggs were not very tasty and the signature pork belly was mediocre. I remember it from the last time we were there and it was much better. The worst thing was we called ahead and they said they weren't very busy and didn't have a waiting line when we got there. Indeed they weren't busy, but we waited over an hour for our food. The waiter apologized and said they were having issues in the kitchen. If I eat there again, I think we'll just have the brussels sprouts for takeout.

Tonight we received the absolute best restaurant service we’ve received in a very long time! Years, probably. From the moment we walked in until we were finished up and leaving, our server Jess and the managers on duty took fantastic care of us. The food is a 10/10, drinks are 10/10, service is 10/10, and atmosphere is 10/10. We had an old fashioned and the purple haze for cocktails, the goat cheese fondue to start, the filet and short rib for our entrees, and bread pudding with ice cream and an espresso martini for dessert, and I recommend all of it! I already can’t wait to go back! :)

The waiter was nice and polite but it took over an hour to get our food. The deviled eggs were awful, all you could taste was mustard. The bacon was cold and limp. The Brussels sprouts were the highlight of all the food we ordered. We won't be back.
Food fantastic. I wish that the oysters had been available. We went on my friends birthday. Alexandra or Alleydeserves a 10* . Now for the draw backs. 30 minutes to find a parking spot. & no oysters. Again Alley is the best!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Some construction in area but not too bad.

This would have been my second visit to this location but me and my girlfriend were told there was a 40 minute wait. It was early afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. The explanation was that the kitchen was behind. We were going to do some drinking anyway but we weren't even offered a table to do that. The hostess took down my number and was going to call me when we could get a table but that call never came. We ended up eating somewhere else.

Went here for drinks and oysters. The oysters were fresh and cleaned properly. However my favorite part was the Grilled chicken sandwich. I have a had a lot of chicken sandwiches but this one of the best. Great flavor cooked well and order came pretty fast. Definitely recommend and will order again
The sugar bacon appetizer which was highly regarded in reviews and pics looked amazing, was very dry and had zero flavor. Very slow since it was a Monday night, so shouldn't have taken as long as it did to get a glass of wine that was ordered.
