Summer Moon Coffee

Extremely disappointed with our experience at the Summer Moon in McKinney. We drove all the way there after checking Google, which clearly stated they close at 6pm on Sundays. We arrived at 5:10pm, only to be turned away.

The door also states Sundays are open until 6pm, yet the employee completely ignored us at the entrance. We even drove around to the drive-thru, just to be told they were closed because of the Super Bowl. If your hours change, that should be clearly updated online and on the door!!!!

To make things worse, the employee was very arrogant and sarcastic when we questioned why they were closed before the posted time. The attitude was unnecessary and unprofessional.

This was a complete waste of time and gas. Ridiculous experience, and honestly makes me feel like never going back again.

I have other ships I like better. Seating is tricky here, and the staff is ok, but not overly friendly. The drinks are average. Not bad, not great. The location just feels like an afterthought. It is crammed into the corner of a parking lot, next to a dollar general. I’ll go if I’m in the area and need a coffee, but I won’t go out of my way.

What I like about Summer Moon, is it’s a cute cozy little place really close to my daughter’s sewing lesson. I can come and sit by the faux fire place and read. I also really enjoyed my Chai.

My critique about Summer Moon is the baristas are too preoccupied with each other (loudly joking and laughing, playing around or just standing around) while there are crumbs all over the floor and the entrance rug is begging for quick run with a vacuum.
There’s also no music even lightly playing in the cafe to pad the sound behind the counter.
These things just really take away from the atmosphere that you’d hope to have in such a cute cozy setting.
So I say, this cafe is just ok.

Cute little coffee shop in McKinney. It is a great alternative to Starbucks. The store is quiet and comfortable. The staff is friendly and informative. I was here for a couple hours for a meeting. The coffee is better than Starbucks but not as good as those hipster, artisan coffee shops. Still though. It’s a good spot.

Rude and unhelpful baristas. I went in to pick up an iced drink and a hot coffee. I got there 5 minutes after ordering and the coffee was barely warmer than room temp. I told the barista it was cold and she said “probably because you got here late.” They poured me a new one, which was also the same temp and I told them it was still just barely warm, which they had the nerve to say “it’s because you got half and half”. I said absolutely not. I make myself coffee with half and half every day at home and it’s not barely warm. I then asked if they could make me an iced vanilla cold brew since their drip coffee was clearly probably from the day before, and they made me an iced cold brew without vanilla.
How do they get it wrong 3 times and blame it on the customer? Terrible service.

A small, cozy cafe. It had Christmas vibes the day I walked in. The faux fireplace gives the space a rustic touch. It does allow you to set up your laptop and work, something I always look for in a cafe. The lattes are good and they have their own line of coffees and merchandise

Yum, yum, slurp yum! Fire roasted coffee... gives it a very nice flavor. Espresso milkshake is the bomb!! Cut back on the moon milk for a less sweet option. 👍🏻😋😋😋

Love everything about summmoon. 1 tip - if you order decaf order or with an extra shot or it just tastes like milk. But I'm glad decaf is an option!

The managers there are just full of themselves, horrible and disrespectful. Yall should add a detail for reviews for dehumanization.

I've been a fan of Summer Moon for a few years and FINALLY made it a point to right a review. I stopped by today hoping that the Gingerbread flavor was back, but they had an Autumn flavor so I got that with my matcha moon. OMG!!! I don't know if those 2 flavors are the same with a new name, but they taste similar and was just what I needed today!!!! It is my favorite way to order my matcha. I am always sad when y'all remove Gingerbread syrup from the menu because I could drink my combo ALL YEAR! Thank you for your friendly service as well.

Not happy with their bakery options. I was looking for plain or whole grain bagel with cream cheese, instead they had one with meat stuffed inside it. Would be nice to have more options for vegeterians (no eggs or meat)

This place is awesome. I could live on their sweet milk. The drinks are simple, the atmosphere is great and the people are all so friendly. Also, they do pup cups!
