Food was great, the staff was friendly and helpful without being pushy or in-your-face. My husband and I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely be going back. If you haven't tried hot-pot this place is a great first place to try it out.
This was one of the best food experiences I have ever had. The environment is relaxing, slow pace, if you want that, and fun. My husband and I enjoyed being able to take our meal at our pace and our way. Shout out to the crew who worked today. They all worked as a team to ensure we were taken care of. The food was outstanding and is a place we will be returning to over and over again. Thank you for an amazing, fun, and relaxing experience. Gold stars all around.

We visited this place for the first time today. We got the tonkashu (spelling ?) broth which was very nice. I had the chicken and ribeye. I had vegetables and meat only and everything was good. You cook it yourself right in front of you. All seating is like a rectangular bar with the staff in the middle of it. I was a neat interactive experience and my wife and I really enjoyed it.
Dietary restrictions: I can only eat certain vegetables and meat. This place was perfect for my very restrictive diet.

My father-in-law wanted to celebrate at a restaurant that reminded him of his years of traveling to Japan on business! Tabu Shabu hit the spot. The food was fresh and the service was impeccable. Brittany and Naomi took excellent care of our party of five. We will definitely return.

This was a fun experience and if you’ve never been, I’d recommend trying it. Having been to shabu shabu restaurants in Japan though, I was disappointed that the seating here was all around a bar with one pot per person, rather than a larger shared pot for a table. It just wasn’t as good of a social experience as I had hoped. And at least the day I went, there wasn’t any dashi for the kombu dashi broth apparently? I got the spicy miso instead, which was good, and definitely spicy! Kind of like a spicy ramen broth. Maybe I’ll try the kombu dashi next time if they have more dashi in stock. The veggies and meat were fresh and there were lots of options. I love the kabocha (Japanese pumpkin)! Also their goma sauce is made in-house with peanuts in it, which was an interesting twist. I liked it. Despite a few small let downs, it was a fun and tasty experience and I’d come again.

The place is new and they are still getting their service feet underneath them. However, the food was fresh and the good. The options are good and straight forward.
Would expect the servers to be more helpful in suggesting items and providing tips on some what sauces and condiments to use to get a more flavorful outcomes.
Would recommend the place.

I wasn't expecting to find such a wonderful place in McKinney, Texas. I've been to shabu-shabu places in Tokyo and New York City, and I've made hot pot with family many times. This place offers the best of both in a wonderful, flavorful, succulent, comfortable space. I hope to find a partner to start a franchise in Westchester County!I had lamb with tonkotsu broth, and all the vegies they offer. I added ramen noodles (the soba was tempting, too) and they made a wonderful soup to take home - lunch for tomorrow.
Kid-friendliness: It's counter-style and very kid-friendly.

Tabushabu is a culinary gem where I recently had an unforgettable ramen experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for a delightful meal featuring bowls of artfully crafted ramen brimming with rich flavors and perfectly balanced ingredients. The exceptional service provided by Naomi truly stood out, as her attentiveness, menu knowledge, and genuine passion for the food made the dining experience nothing short of perfect. The cozy and welcoming ambiance of Tabushabu made it the ideal place to savor a comforting bowl of ramen on a chilly day. Overall, Tabushabu's delicious food, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere, coupled with staff members like Naomi who go above and beyond, guarantee a fantastic dining experience that will leave you craving more.
