Taco Ocho - McKinney

Taco Ocho is now our most favorite place locally! Lots of flavorful, creative vegetarian and vegan options that are clearly marked! The vegetable- and bean-focused dishes are a nice change from all the faux meats these days. The vegan sweet potato quesadilla is AMAZING!! Selection of 5 vegan tacos, couple of tostadas (1 vegan), quesadillas (1 vegan), along with vegan rice and beans which are yummy! Two vegan options on the weekend brunch menu also. Complimentary chips and salsa when you order an entree. THE BEST!!

Tacos felt more like burritos than anything. The ambience is very good but the food was not at all good. We ordered chicken and beef tacos , the meat was hardly on the tacos, side of salad felt like a frozen salad, beans were like uber smashed. If you are looking for authentic tacos, this may not be the place. People were nice and the place was nice, but the food was a bummer....didn't look & taste good.

Best tacos in the area by far. I recommend the Ancho Garlic Shrimp and Latin Love tacos. The rice is also perfectly seasoned and different than other Mexican restaurants, which is great.

My husband and my mom got food poisoning from this place. My mom spent 6 hours in the ER. First and last time coming here.

Very delicious tacos, they are expensive but the asada and brisket are worth it, I recommend it

Good food and wonderful, very friendly service! They have tables inside and out, and the patio is dog-friendly. We sat outside and still had great service. Had the brisket quesadillas which were fantastic and melt in your mouth! Fiancé had tripleta torta and liked it a lot. He says next time he's trying the Cubana. We'll definitely be going back!

I got the vegan lunch special. I ordered a tostada and taco and both were great. It was a lot of food and a great value. My only observation is that was rather dark in the restaurant. I was kind of surprised how dark it was when I came in. But I would definitely come back.

Wonderful food and great people too! They use fresh, quality ingredients with lots of delicious vegan/vegetarian options. Good portions also! So nice with substituting ingredients and tweaking the dish to your preference, and it's obvious the care they put into their food and restaurant! One of our new favorites and I know we'll be coming back.

Beware of their 3 tostada for $11.99 deal! When you order, make sure to mention “I want the 3 for 11.99 deal”, then pick your flavors!

I just went with bunch of my friends (6 of us) and we ordered 6 tostadas assuming we will do that deal. Anyways it was all supposed to be on 1 check. They charged me separate for each of them and did not honor the deal!
I asked Why? Their answer was you did not specify when ordering. I said the server should have asked but the manager on site said no, you should have mentioned.
Like seriously? How is a customer supposed to know how to order? When it’s mentioned on the menu, it assumes it will be honored! They are very dishonest and cheaters when it comes to billing. So be mindful and double check the bill before paying.

We paid $3 extra, but here the issue is not the $3 but it’s about dishonesty! I have never seen a place that will not honor a deal if mentioned on the menu. Many places actually reminds you of the deal if you don't know or forget!
I have asked to talk to regional manager, hoping they will call but again just warning you all out there!

We've had this place twice in 3 days and have had great food and great service. Vanessa and Joseph are awesome and 100% recommend this if you have a craving for good mexican food.
