First and foremost, our server Yuri was so friendly to our family and gave excellent recommendations! All of the fish Sushi and Rolls we got were absolutely fantastic. We were served some of the freshest fish we’ve tasted here in North Texas. Highly recommend the Samurai Roll and the White Tuna Sushi, so fresh and so flavorful! We live 30 minutes away and will be coming back with family and friends when they visit!

Sushi was great! Service was subpar. Never checked on us and didnt refill drinks. Server didnt seem to pick up on subtle cues and just wasn’t good.

We decided to try Umai tonight for a birthday dinner (family of 5). Every sushi roll we tried was delicious! Spicy Tuna, Salmon, King Dragon, Panic, Rock & Roll... all so good! The fish tasted fresh and the flavor combos were just right. Miso soup was good too (my kids are particular about that and they liked it). We all decided we will be going back soon.

Since I discovered this place I dream of it a minimum of 7 times a day. I have tried several rolls (favs include: panic roll, rocky manhattan roll, lava roll, every other roll that is listed on the menu) and no matter what I order, each time I take a bite it’s like the gates of heaven open. This is the best sushi I have ever had.
Really good sushi and service. Could use an update on atmosphere but other than that I’ll be back!!

What makes this place great is the service from Ivy or Yuri. They are both so sweet and just nice!! Love them and love when the owner is behind the sushi bar! Great items and great service!! One of our favorites in McKinney!!

We absolutely love Umai Sushi! This was our seventh visit, and it just keeps getting better! Our 11-year-old devoured the Unagi Don, while our 6-year-old enjoyed the udon and sushi—it was a hit for sure! The sushi is a must-try! The staff are super friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Plus, the kid-friendly atmosphere is perfect for our family. There was a little wait time for our food, but honestly, it was totally worth it—every bite was absolutely delicious!
