Velvet Taco

Came up to the north McKinney location off 380 while house hunting. We really enjoyed the spicy tikka and rotisserie chicken tacos. Don’t forget to check out their new bowls as well. I was very impressed with their portion size! Must try location!

We visited Velvet Taco specifically because of a promotion offering 5 free tacos with the purchase of a $50 gift card. However, when we went to place our order, we were told they had run out and could not honor the offer.

There was no notice posted in the store indicating the promotion was unavailable or limited. Advertising a promotion and then not honoring it at the point of purchase is disappointing and misleading.

I understand promotions can have limits, but clear communication and honoring advertised offers are important for customer trust. I hope Velvet Taco improves how these promotions are handled in the future.

Great service and good vibes!
I had a really good experience at Velvet Taco. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit smooth from start to finish. Service was quick without feeling rushed, and everyone had a great attitude. Definitely a spot I’d come back to—not just for the food, but for the service too.

Probably had great expectations but turned out to be mediocre.. why?? Kids also didn't like quesadilla which they compared with Chipotle. Veggie Bowl was okay. Paneer and Tofu tacos were good but not great!!

New favorite place with unique flavors for tacos, bowls and flavor of the week tacos. I had the La La Land Taco, loved it!!! Great fun with unique combo of ingredients as photo shows.
Also had the chicken bowl just as good with rotisserie chicken, queso blanco, roasted corn pico, black beans, guacamole, avocado crema , charred tomato poblano salsa, cilantro, and buttered cilantro basmati rice.
We will be back.
