Stopped in at the Merkel donut shop, coming back from the WASP museum in Sweatwater. Such a friendly lovely owner in this hidden little gem. I think we bought one of everything in her shop, and it was all so good! My favorite donuts are the apple fritter & the glazed old fashion. They were really really yummy!!! If you have a chance to stop in, you’ll be happy you did!
For a small town, we have some of the greatest businesses in the world. This place is one of the best. Always you are greeted with a smile. Good donuts and she always throws in a few donut holes. Please try it.

This is a great little donut shop. Merkel is pretty small and this place is right in the down town area. Super friendly owners. The gentleman is quite and the lady speaks in a real high squeaky voice that is just too cute.
