I went to their Mesquite Texas location. Yes, it’s old and a bit run down but that kind of adds to the charm. At $15 for a two meat dinner plate, it’s a huge bargain. I got the brisket and smoked sausage with coleslaw and potato salad on the side. Comes with some thick Texas toast as well. Everything was very very good. The sausage was super flavorful and just the right amount of kick. The sauce was excellent as well. The meats were juicy and flavorful, not a lot of fat on the brisket, in fact, I didn’t notice any. But it was still moist and juicy and really good.Maybe not the absolute pinnacle of perfection but very close at a very reasonable price. Other places it could’ve cost twice that, but then it would probably have come with something other than Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils.It was so good I got a pulled pork sandwich and a turkey sandwich for lunch tomorrow. I’m traveling so in a hotel. That sounded so much better than any other fast food type place I would’ve gotten lunch at.
Food was really good, hopping at lunch. Nice ladies behind the counter. Place could use a cleaning refresh in dining room.

The pulled pork was tender and juicy!! The ribs fell of the bone! The backed beans were awsome. Great place to go. Definitely taking the hubby next time!!
We just ate "some" of our order. My husband had a sliced beef basket, and I had a chopped beef sandwich w/pasta salad on the side. I hate that my husband only ate 2 bites before throwing it all away, My beef was also dry, burnt {not in a good way} & not good. This was $24.63. The drive-thru clerk was very helpful and honest with helping me decide,which meal to order between a choice for a kids meal or (2) meat plate. I chose the two meat plate and I was very happy with my choice and side selections. The ribs were spectacular and just the right smoke taste I had been previously searching for, while dining at other barbeque restaurants but unable to find. I went in for the Brisket and I keep returning for the ribs. The brisket is not bad but it also isn't the best. The ribs on the other hand are great. I found out about this restaurant a couple of weeks ago and now I've been going about 2 - 3 times a week.RatingsRibs: 9/10 The ribs are nicely cooked to a proper temperature and the flavor that the ribs carry is really good.0 The brisket doesn't have a lot of flavor and it's slightly overcooked and dry. (Adding their barbeque sauce would make it into a 6/10)Barbeque Sauce: 7/10 I don't eat barbeque sauce just because I don't typically like the taste of it but the barbeque sauce at Bakers Ribs is surprisingly good.Smoke Sausage: 9/10 The sausage has a good flavor and would be better if it had cheese insideMac & Cheese: 7/10 Nothing special but still good

THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! I went here December 11 ordered a brisket plate. When I got home, I opened the plate it was a lot of bark and not edible. I took it back to them and asked for a refund. She gave me a ticket showing the transaction had been voided. A couple of days later the money leaves my bank account, I think fine, the money should be returned to my bank in another day. A week later, still no credit. December 26, the funds have yet to be credited to my bank account, I have filed a dispute with my bank. I’m guessing she voided it and printed me a receipt but must have went back into the computer after I left and voided that transaction hoping I wouldn’t notice. I did notice and I’m warning everyone about your deceitful business practices.

We've been Bake's fans for years. Not wholly the best ribs available in Dallas, but certainly worthy of a visit. However, that being said, we will not be using Baker's in Mesquite again, certainly, or for anything other than a "sometime" visit if no other option is available at their other locations. And that pertains to both Mesquite and SW Highway locations. Certainly the greatest disappointed came from our experience having a 21 lb turkey "smoked" and carved by Baker's in Mesquite. We checked with the manager before bringing our frozen turkey to be smoked. We were informed that, if we brought our turkey in that same day, there was plenty of time to smoke and carve it and that we could pick-up our turkey on the afternoon of the 22nd (one day before Thanksgiving). So we brought our turkey in that same day as requested by the manager. We returned to Baker's to retrieve our turkey on the 22nd. It was ready. We added turkey gravy to the order and paid out charges and left. Having had an incredible smoked turkey done by Baker's off of SW Hwy last year, we were excited that we could have done again by them this year. As a side note: The Baker's off of SW Hwy told us to bring our turkey in 1-2 weeks before we needed to pick it up and when we went there to leave our turkey within their requested time, we were told that they were too busy and could not smoke our turkey. This is why we went to the Baker's in Mesquite. Now to the very disappointing outcome. We got home with turkey and gravy, all nicely packaged, and opened the large aluminum. At first glance, the turkey looked uncooked (it was) but had no signs, either of smell or taste, of being smoked...Just neatly carved. We tested the meat and sure enough...it had barely any smoked flavor at all! We served it up with the gravy and this year's Thanksgiving meal is done. Whether we try Baker's again next...we'll see. But we will let others know of our experience with Baker's in Mesquite.

This place is amazing, their sloppy joes are great and the prices are insanely good, our total came out to 16 dollars and we couldn't even finish our meal it was so filling, I particularly loved the scallops and pasta salad which were amazing though I also absolutely adored the sloppy joes, its good meat and the buns are toasted, the best part, they give you the barbecue on the side so you can give yourself as much or little as you'd like
