We ordered gizzards and half a chicken fried. The batter and seasoning on the chicken was excellent, the chicken could be juicer. The gizzards were surprisingly excellent. The seasoning and the texture of the gizzards was to perfection. They were not chewey and had a perfect bite. I wish the fries were a bit crunchier and had a longer time in the frier. They were a bit limp and soft. The price was reasonable for the amount of food. Overall I would have liked the chicken to be a bit juicer and the fries to be a bit crunchier. Other than that this is a gem with great customer service. The food came out quick and hot. It's hard to get gizzards that is prepared well, this place nailed it.

Heard about Freckles and was not disappointed, Customer service was prompt and enjoyed the conversation while waiting for order, everything is cooked to order, fresh and hot I have now found my go to place . First Visit: We purchased 3 wing combos. Customer Service was great! The chicken was fried crispy, but was full of grease. Their chicken has a sweet taste to it, which I am assuming that was also the seasoning on the fries. We didn't enjoy the sweetness. This place isn't horrible, but with a few tweaks can really set themselves apart.

I googled somewhere good to eat in Mesquite because I was in the area and this place came up. It did not disappoint. The flavor on the chicken is very good and tasty. It was cooked to order and was still delicious after my drive home. We will definitely be back.

The menu confused me a bit the wings was pictured with fries but when u maneuver through the menu it's as if u have to choose the fries as ur side. So I actually paid for a extra side of fries. The food was excellent!
