Atmosphere probably better in the Summer. Food was excellent. We has the Fried Shrimp and the Chicken Fried Chicken. Fried pickles were delicious. Buttermilk pie was pretty tasty. My only complaint was the drinks (margarita) were watered down and had no taste.

Outstanding! The service was friendly and prompt. The food was all so delicious. I had the Porch swing fried chicken with house beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. My husband had the chicken fried catfish with jalapeño gravy, macaroni and cheese and the cheesy corn bake. We were NOT disappointed and we have enough leftovers for more than one meal. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon.

We went to Porch Swing for the first time. It was a place that we had seen and wanted to try. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess and immediately seated. We were soon met by our server, who happened to also be the bartender, which I thought was odd. She brought us our drinks and took our dinner order. It was early evening and not too busy. I kept noticing that there were several servers there. Our server was doing a great job tending to the tables in her section, but as the restaurant got more busy her volume of work kept increasing. Whenever a table ordered drinks, she had to go and make them. That left the service for the tables in her section waiting for the server to come back. She was doing the very best she could do to keep up. Management should have seen this and got her some help, or let the bartender tend the bar. The food was excellent. I had the roast chicken and my wife had the chicken fried steak. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It was seasoned well. The mashed potatoes needed some salt. I have no issue with food being under seasoned. Some people can't have a lot of sodium. They had a salt and pepper shaker right on the table. We also had pie to-go, which were excellent. We will be back.

We went for lunch. Was a nice relaxing place. Would be good to take children there as they would enjoy the swings and fireplace. We ordered chicken fried chicken and we both got chicken fried steak. We also ordered a corn dish as a side and neither of us could eat it because it had jalapeno in it and was very spicy. The menu did not mention this ingredient. The prices are steep for lunch. Probably will not return.

My family has visited here in the past few weeks and I didn't have the pleasure of going, but they had raved over their experience stating the food is always fresh and good and the service fantastic and friendly. But, the most recent visit and my first personally was on a Sunday and they are trying out a "brunch" menu. While I appreciate good food, even in a brunch setting, the pricing is so high in comparison to most and it is buffet style. So you lose the benefit of great service, choice of food, and you pay more. I will definitely visit during the week when it is not brunch time, but I will not be back for a Sunday afternoon meal. It was just too expensive for the group we took, even with Senior discounts for 3 of our guests. I know a new place like this needs time to settle in and get to know their patrons, so I'm giving them 4 stars based on my family members experience and the food I tasted "to go" that was EXCELLENT. Hoping they do great, the place is clean and we are excited they are in town. We have hope!

Today was my worst lunch experience at this establishment. Not only was the waitress rude when taking our drink order but she had the audacity to belittled me in front of my friends. Her rude and unprofessional remarks completely ruined our lunch. At no point in time is it ok for any staff member to make a comment such as: "is she the slowest one of the group?" And follow it with other rude comments when she doesn't even know us. I was taken back by her uncalled for comments and therefore asked for the manager. The assistant general manager did apologize for her behavior but defended her actions by stating that they often play around like that and that to me is completely unacceptable when staff is attending customers. Needless to say we left and will not return to an establishment that tolerates such unprofessional staff to costumer interaction.

The food was definitely something else, the meatloaf was half cold and the salmon was beyond bland. I'm not much of a picky eater but everything I tried was painful and disappointing to say the least. I won't be coming back and I felt bad for the food. There was no seasoning on anything even the gravy tasted like all the flavor was pulled out of it.

So we tried porch swing out on Monday evening. The chicken fried steak was really good, the mashed potatoes were fair they were homemade but they were not seasoned which is OK to me. the atmosphere of the restaurant was borderline casual intimate, my wife ordered fish and she really enjoyed it our son our son really liked the seasoned fries
My husband and I have frequented this fantastic restaurant 4 times. Every visit doesn't disappoint. The staff is ALWAYS cheerful, smiling and responsive. I like that the manager goes around to ask each table how things are going. When we come in we are recognized, greeted well and treated with the highest level of customer satisfaction. We look forward to trying out the Sunday Brunch tomorrow. The live music and ambiance is spot on Keep up the superior quality of this place

My family and I wanted to give this place a try and that was a bad decision on my part. We walked in and and nobody greeted us so we tried to sit ourselves and we were told that the section we tried to sit in was closed. We waited to be seated but no one appeared to want to help us, we had several employees looking at us but I guess we were not important enough to get approached. Business must be real good for this establishment to ignore us on a slow night.

We visited on a recent Friday for lunch. Was not crowded at all. Both had chicken fries steak, lunch portion. It was goo, not great. Mine was a little dry. Side were cheesy baked corn, which was good, and broccoli salad, which was also good. It wasn't super-gotta-go-back good, but it was good.

I only had appetizers, but the fried pickles and big ol' onion rings were tasty. Also the BBQ wings were good. Fast friendly service too. Perfect day for the large patio. It has heaters if it gets chilly. The kids loved the big porch swings.
