Went there on a date with my black cowboy guy friend... They sat us at the worst table in the house, the one with half a booth and two chairs at the end of the aisle! I ordered the chicken with the sausage and got sweet potato fries and a side salad.. The chicken was a smashed down half breast and the sausage was cut in half only 4 inches long, plus the sweet potatoes fries are real stringy.. like those cheap ones at In and Out burger! The side salad with the balsamic dressing was the best thing about the dinner and they charged me $18.99 for this plate!? Also, their pepper grinder mill needs to be replaced, it was flinging peppers all over the place and half of them didn't even get chopped in my salad, it had whole pepper grains choking me out, etc... And yet my Gentleman Cowboy still tipped thier waiter over 25 dollars in change!!!

Me and my boyfriend were just there and had an above and beyond experienced with Fernado. He was good at explaining everything we asked, and offered dessert without pushing it on us. Boxed our food up for us, loved it! Will be back for the good food and his specific service.

SO much difference between this location and the one in Richardson. This one is vibrant with excellent service and good food. What a contrast from the other location which suffers from mismanagement and is practically empty. It's 10 minutes away. Go here!

I stopped in at the bar and had one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. The bartender was outstanding—he made my Old Fashioned perfectly, smooth and balanced exactly the way I like it. It was so good I decided to stay for dinner. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it came out piping hot, juicy, crispy, and smothered in gravy just right. The cook nailed it. All around, great service, great drink, great food. I had an excellent night here. Highly recommend.

Love a good steak. It was perfect. (Only place it is better is on my grill at home. NY Strip Back this time for a ribeye with a friend. Steak was again delicious. Sat at the bar. Bartender was busy but she did ok to take care of us.

It was my Dad's 90th birthday and he wanted me to bring steak to his house.
My *go to* place was closed at lunch so I chose the Salt Grass in Mesquite because they were open. Let me tell you. I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was SO good!
The salads were fresh, perfect. Our filets were cooked perfectly, no *weird stuff* in there. I ate every last piece, as did my Dad. The baked potatoes were HUGE and fully cooked. No hard spots. YUM YUM YUM.
I think I have my new *go to* steakhouse for Dad. Thanks for making his day special Salt Grass!! It is a little pricey right now but that will change I am sure.
