My wife and I decided to try this restaurant after seeing a commercial several times. The place was low key but the food was very delicious. My wife had chilies rellenos and I had ranchero tacos. Both plates had very good portion size and the food was very hot. We had never had food come to the table as hot as this. We highly recommend Candilejas and know that no-one will be disappointed.
Love, love, love Candileja's. One of the best Mexican restaurants in Midland, family owned, spotlessly clean and the staff/owners are just the nicest people ever. I tried them out back in December based on reviews, and because I prefer to give my business to local/family owned businesses. Man, they did not disappoint. We have ordered Romi's Combo, Red Enchiladas, the Chicken Chimichanga, Fish Tacos, Tacos Ranchero and everything is exceptional. It is easy to get to, just south of Front Street, but kind of off by itself. Do yourself a favor and stop by Candileja's. You won't be disappointed.

A small, intimate interior. You feel like you’re sitting down at a friends kitchen table!The service was fantastic, our waitress was so kind and conversational, everything our group tried was very good.I’ve been searching for a Mexican restaurant with at the very least good salsa here in Midland, and this checked that box and beyond.The whole restaurant is cooked for by a single chef, he’s obviously very skilled at what he does.A diamond in the rough!Give them a try!
