Had the nachos, chicken was so dry it must have been from the day before. I go to check out and the lady at the front hands me another receipt that is three dollars more than the receipt the waiter gave me. When I asked why is it more, she said La Bodega charges a fee to use a credit card. They are not supposed to be able to do that. I have contacted Visa.

Wow. I just paid $28 (before tip) for a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and a small quesadilla plate. The chicken in my soup was SO dry, the quesadilla was alright but I can't understand how it was $18. Somehow even their rice & beans were bad. Beans tasted extremely diluted with water and rice had an oily flavor.
Ridiculously overpriced.

The store felt modern and stylish.
The cashier at the front today 9-6-25 was not friendly at all. Girl w big black glasses..never spoke when we arrived but to say, how many, and checking out never said a word! RUDE! The wait time today was really bad! I have been here several times. This is my 1st complaint. Move that girl where she doesn't have to do any customer service!

The atmosphere and service were great! The enchiladas and margaritas were good too, and I liked that they offered veggie options for the enchiladas. The queso was disappointing. It tastes like Velveeta and the chips were stale.
La Bodega has gone completely down the toilet. This place used to be so good. Iāve been going here since I was a kid. Iām now 41 years old. It has steadily gotten worse and worse over the years. I had given up on it. Made the mistake of giving it one last try yesterday. The hostess was super rude and said two words to us the entire time being sat. āHow manyā. Mean looking face the entire time. Showing she was annoyed by us eating at the restaurant she works at. Our server was equally rude. Very quick with us. Walks up to our table after a good while and says āWhat do you wantā. Thatās it. Very quick with us. Acted like he also was annoyed we came in to eat at the place he works. Food was bland. No flavor. The soft drinks were flat and warm. Everything that used to be good here is now mediocre. They have changed everything with the quality and taste of the food. This is not a one time stop and review. Iāve been coming here for decades. When I tell you DO NOT EAT HERE I mean it. Rude hostess. Rude servers. Terrible food. Not to mention way overpriced. Will NEVER EVER give this place another penny of my money. Management should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this place to get this bad.
The place was quaint and cute, but extremely overpriced. The queso tasted like canned cheese, the beef in the enchiladas was very dry. We like to eat medium-upscale, however, this was upscale prices for low quality taste. The salad was really good and the chips were fresh. The service was mediocre- the server didnāt speak much and was very dry. Nice, but dry. This is likely a āone and doneā visit. We had high hopes, but sadly were let down.
