I have made it a custom to stop in at the lodge as often as I can. The atmosphere is pleasantly inviting you always feel welcomed and at home . Your first welcomed in by the most talented and spectacular waitress who multitasks as a quite , impressive ,cocktail artist , one of whom always greets you with a smile , that the rising son is jealous of. Eve attends tentatively to every need of your dining and drinking experience. Every need for your exquisite meal is carefully prepared , and delivered with an instant, every drop of sauce and grain of salt delivered with joy! And as the Empress of the establishment, Evania , checks on her well oiled machine of happiness , she makes certain that it runs as smooth as an old clock not a skip in time not stall in gears, every meal every drink , comes out as perfect and timely , as the coocoo peeps his gesture! And she does all of this with a smile and attitude that brings you back for more . Absolutely one of the most exquisite dining experiences I have ever had. To you , beautiful lady's , and the Texas lodge , I thank you for a timeless moment well worth the stop!

Way overpriced. Really hot in the dining room also. You’d think with what they charged they could afford to turn the ac on. The staff tries their best but are clearly not getting enough support. Took forever for drinks and the appetizer we ordered. We had planned on eating dinner but watched several other patrons get irritated and almost leave due to how long their food took to come out so we didn’t even order any food besides the butterfly shrimp appetizer (11$ for 5 shrimp) that took over an hour to come out. Got one mixed drink and the rest was beers and 5 shots between the two of us and left with a 220$ bill. Absolutely insane. They couldn’t even bother to paint the restroom properly but charging like you’re at cowboy prime…. Just wow. Won’t be returning.

I can say I didn't love it, and I didn't hate it. I had the ribs and corn, which were the most bland, uneventful dishes that I've ever had. I would expect this kind of meal at a man camp but at a restaurant where I pay 30$ for a plate. The corn was simply boiled and placed on the plate.... zero flavor, as a matter of fact, I had to ask for salt pepper and butter. I did finish the whole plate cause who let's 30 go to waste these days.

Looked nice online, but the space inside is small and feels crowded, the appetizer amounts are tiny, I ordered the tortellini with shrimp and ended up with 5 pieces of shrimp and a piece of chicken. It also took a good while before we got our food because there is only 1 waitress. The food was not great and it was expensive. Not to mention I felt sick instantly after eating and I only ate a small portion of the food in my plate. I don't think I would ever make another trip here, I definitely do not recommend.

Great salad. They serve a chicken fried steak, but it's not made from cubed steak, It's made from ground beef. Sorry, but that is not a true southern chicken fried steak.

Like never to return
You have to beg for napkins! They charge you for ranch and ketchup and $11 for an order of fries.

Place is so over priced it’s not even funny. I don’t mind paying for good food. This place doesn’t have that. Two crown and sprite doubles $66. They charged for the crown and the sprite that went in them. They charged for the ketchup that i asked to go with my fries. The cheese cake was about the size of a tortilla chip. The steak was tough. $109 out the door for food about the same as Applebees. Only positive is my waiter was great.

This place was so overpriced and not worth it at all. The atmosphere wasn’t terrible but not appealing. There were wine bottles on all the tables to try and mask an upscale vibe, maybe that’s why they get to charge so much for their mediocre food. Positive, our server was very nice and accommodating. I ordered pesto chicken pasta. I have had better pasta from a box or a tv dinner. There was no were near enough sauce and the noodles on the edges were dry. My boyfriend had a burger and while he said it was a good burger, it wasn’t worth the extravagant price. I’ve never seen a restaurant charge for pickles on a burger. Nor have I heard of them charging for a tiny side of ketchup! Beware, everything cost extra. I can’t believe we paid $80 for a mediocre dinner and 3 drinks.

The chef has traveled all over the world. It's good to have fine dining in Midland in a casual atmosphere. The food is amazing Im still stuck on ordering the jalapeno rosemary burger to review anything else.
