I went and didn't know what to expect. I ordered a michilada and let's just say that was all I expected but, it tasted like something else. Also I got a shrimp cocktail. BEWARE!!! Do not order the shrimp cocktail! It was not a shrimp cocktail. It was brown and it was nasty! I said something and the waitress said I had to still pay for it even though I didn't eat it or want it. And so in conclusion I will not ever go there again. Not trying to be a complainer but, I have to warn others about what not to order.

First time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice , casual and clean. Waitress was very helpful. The FOOD was absolutely awesome. I am picky and I didn’t find one thing that was not very well prepared. The presentation of the food was excellent. We, me and my husband, both would highly recommend that you go and check out the King Shark.

The place is over priced for what you get and they don't clean their food. Not sure if this is a one off but not a great first impression

I pass this place 2 to 3 times a day and couldn't figure out what type of restaurant it was. I thought it was a fry fish type of place. Finally decides to give it a try and I'm glad I did! The outside does not match the inside. It's actually really nice inside cool blue lighting with a full TV wall with music videos playing. The first thing we ordered was our drinks and we got Leche de Tigre. Funny name but great Michelada, it was on point! I ordered Botana del Rey as an appetizer had fish, octopus, shrimp and veggies and it took me back to Mazatlan! For our main course I ordered tacos Gobernador and my wife ordered Baja shrimp tacos. They were the best sea food tacos in town. The service was great, manager came by to check on us to make sure we were happy. I really recommend this place, we were there on a Saturday at 7pm.

While in midland we took my grandson out to eat and saw this place. We went in and found it to be very clean and pleasant. We ordered our food and it was very generous portions. The taste was great and definitely a place you would want to visit. I will be going back the next time I’m in town.

Very good food, great ambiance! They serve beer and wine. Nice to have something different in Midland. I'm always up for supporting small businesses over eating at chain restaurants.

A friend and I tried this place for the first time today. When we pulled into the parking lot at 12:30, there was only one other car. Hmmm... Was this a mistake? My buddy pointed out that at least the service should be good, so we went in. Given the name, I was expecting expecting dishes such as shark, swordfish, lobster, orange roughy, tuna, etc. This was not the case, but there were a number of shrimp dishes. Service was quick and polite, however the waitress knew very little English. This led to a mistake on my order. I wanted grilled fish and shrimp, and I pointed to it on the menu, but received fried fish and shrimp. The shrimp was fine, but the fish was oily. Oh, well. Fries were good, as was the salad. The salad consisted of separate little piles of shredded carrots, red onions, and something resembling cole slaw without the dressing. It was good! My friend ordered fish tacos, but I don't recall which version. He said his food was quite good, although messy. I've found that messy food is generally good! The manager came to our table a couple of times to make sure everything was OK. This place is located at a very busy intersection and I'm surprised that it wasn't busy. My only complaint was the order mix-up due to the waitress not being able to understand English. She was very friendly and sweet, I don't want to get her in trouble, but she needs help/training. The pricing was a bit high, too. I'll go back, but I wish they were open for dinner. I'd like to try a hamburger just to see what it's like. I hope this place survives.

I’m very picky when it comes to Mexican/Seafood restaurants because Midland has so many already. However, The King Shark did not disappoint.First, just the atmosphere when you walk in with the lighting and being such a different aesthetic than other restaurants in Midland, to being greeted by Ramon (our waiter) for the evening, who was such a kind and gracious host. Second, I love spicy food and sometimes we’ll 90% of the time its hard for me to find a place that has the right type of heat I like and The King Shark knocked it out of the park.Third, and finally, back to our waiter Ramon he was again just a great host. He explained a few of the menu options and was smiling the whole time he interacted with me and my friend. You could tell he loved his job and helping people. For the pricing, plus portions you receive is the service and something new yet different it was a phenomenal experience100% recommendPhotos are of the the green salsa and guacamole along with the dishes we ordered: FIESTA SHRIMP,HONEY FAJITA N CHICKEN WINGS & GOBERNADORAlso had the R. Mondavi wine an it was delightful.

It was slow when we were in there the food is full of flavor. And beer is cold. This is a seafood restaurant so don't expect any other type of dishes. But what they have is worth it. The bathrooms are clean and restaurant overall is clean.
