This is the SECOND time the exact same incident has happened. The first time the manager apologized and offered a gift card however it is clear the root problem has not been fixed. Their customer service is HORRIBLE! As a regular customer I’m aware that there are 2 salsas that come with the meals here. Both times I’ve ordered food online I’ve only received one type and have been argued with by front staff, had to pay 5 dollars for huge bowls of salsa with one tiny bag of chips. Service from employees up front is disgusting and I’m glad to say I will never be returning!

I will never eat at Tkilaz Mexican Restaurant Downtown again! I called last week to ensure that our group and speakers for the Spanish Eucharistic Congress would have lunch. The restaurant called me beforehand to confirm the reservation. But when we arrived, they had no record of our reservation. When I asked for an explanation, a waitress got an attitude and asked why I was upset?! The wait staff then punished our group, with a 1/2 hour wait for our drink orders. One of our speakers did not eat. I’ve never been so disappointed. It does not help that the food was mediocre.

I will never be going there again. I have never in my life been to a Mexican food restaurant and been charged extra for more salsa for my chips.

The food was of very poor quality, the meat in the tacos had been there for days, the pozole was thick, salty, tasteless, very bad experience ☹️ ? ?

Service sucks don’t order a drink unless yk your gonna like it otherwise they don’t remove it from the ticket . Customer service means nothing to the restaurant.

Anybody that knows me, knows I love this place.
Waitress working in the bar area at this time (6:30-7pm) rude as hell to me, but so nice to my guest. Even handed my guest the bill(I’m paying)
She could’ve gotten a good tip, but wow. Never had service like that at this location.

Visiting Lubbock and had a friend who ate here 6 years ago recommend it to me, and it definitely still has that lasting memory appeal. The food was amazing. Got a mangoneada margarita and it was hard to say no to another one. Check it out!
