Fantastic all the way around.Clean, nice service from smiling faces.Great breakfast! Great Chicken fried steak. The gravy is in a whole catagory by itself. We travel from Ft. Worth to enjoy a meal when we can.And nothing beats a weekend morning at Carolyn's.I felt like this café should have been in a big old house on a country road somewhere.Where there's good business and workers, there's good customers. We'll be back.Brad and Sarah

So. The food was not tasty at all. The thing that bothered me the most was at the check out line there were three customers ahead of me and each of them were asked if they were veterans. When it came up to be my turn she never asked. I am a Marine Corps Veteran. Having served several overseas combat tours and I am a retired disabled veteran. Weird thing is that there is a sign in their counter about discounts for Veterans, Law Enforcement and First Responders but it is unethical to ask for a discount. And yes I am a Police Officer and my lunch partner is also in Law Enforcement. Just won’t be going back. Thanks for the eye opening experience. Overall I am not complaining about the discount it was the fact that she asked everyone else in line and just assumed I wasn’t a veteran or in Law Enforcement

This place is very clean. Service was great. My son had a great hamburger and I had the best fried chicken livers I’ve ever had along with cabbage and fried squash. Reasonable prices.

Carolyn's is the epitome of the good old-fashioned Mom and Pop, Hometown restaurant that you miss. The staff are welcoming, the wait time short, the service fast and friendly and the food excellent. I mean, these folks make their own biscuits come a pancakes and - above all - gravy, sauces and roux. I'd recommend Carolyn's to anyone.

Was in the neighborhood and stopped in for an early lunch. Our meal was nothing special, was just ok. My husband and I both had a cheeseburger with french fries. Nice atmosphere and service was decent. Probably will not return if looking to eat in Midlothian again.

I came here with my son yesterday, 3/17 and had a great brunch! My son ordered chicken tenders and I got a burrito. They were out of biscuits with gravy, so I got the burrito instead and it was tasty. My only complaint was that it could have been wrapped better, as it was falling apart. But that doesn't take away a star. Will definitely be returning:)

Lots of seniors here but a great place for breakfast for all ages. Been ln business in Midlothian forever. Service is fast, respectful.
They must have taken note of the complaints because we were greeted and seated immediately. This is a good place to come for good downhome food ours came out in less than 10 minutes and was hot and very good. Dee, our waitress, was awesome.

The soup was chili today? It was lukewarm, light brown gravy and hamburger meat, that was ALL. No hiding that.
We were greeted and taken to our table quickly and taken our drinks order almost right after that. The food came out quickly, which tells you breakfast is a specialty there. Also, it was exactly as ordered and very good. Our waitress was very helpful with suggestions and information about the menu. Overall we loved it and when visiting Midlothian again, we will definitely visit ?
Parking: Is so good parking in front of restaurant might be difficult. I guess that's a good thing ?
Best breakfast out we have had in a long time. Great food and service.
Dietary restrictions: Non pork options
The croissant sandwich is the best ine Ive ever had! The hashbrowns were eh, but the sandwich! Great prices too and the staff was very friendly. Cant wait to go back!
This was my first time to visit, but it's very close to the new and very nice Methodist Hospital in Midlothian. Service was right on, there was a 56th. school reunion in the back, nice size cafe, designed to please a couple or a family, reasonable prices, the menu was home cooking, loved the senior menu and yum on their chicken fried steak and delicious gravy...went there with my brother. We both decided we would definitely come back for breakfast next time. One drawback, they're not open for dinner. ?
