“Well worth the try. Ambiance was was cool. Food was fantastic and I highly recommend a potato cake! Service was good and friendly. Restoring an old church and making it a restaurant is a fantastic idea. Kudos City of Midlo on your work on "Founder's Row". You all should visit.”
“Moved from Midlothian about 2 months ago and have been traveling with hubby occasionally. Have tried Chx & waffles in several different states now and far NO ONE can beat yours! ❤️ (not to mention I miss my Sat brunch-a-Rita! Stay awesome!”
“It was a busy night, manager checked on our table, server was very sweet and good. Food is great! It's a little pricey but worth it! Free entertainment! Singers were great, not too loud. You can still talk and enjoy yourselves! Will be back!”
“We stopped by just to check out the space and menu here at Pho N Wok and ended up staying for dinner. It was quiet on this Thursday at 5:45 and then things exploded, filling up the small dining area rapidly and leaving to go orders standing or waiting in their vehicles. I can see why. The menu here is terrific. We love Vietnamese cuisine and tried the Vietnamese House Fried Egg Rolls and the Shrimp Spring Rolls. The fried rolls were stuffed with pork, rice paper wrapped and fried perfectly, served with a sweet nuoc cham. The Spring rolls were fresh rolled with 4 shrimp halves, vermicelli noodles, lettuce, bean sprouts and cilantro and served with a peanut sauce. They were large and tightly packed. They could have used some pickled veggies like carrots and or daikon; but otherwise they were well prepared and pretty yummy. It took us awhile to peruse the menu. There's more appetizers, and soup, pho, noodle salads and pork, beef, shrimp, chicken and vegetarian entrees that encompass Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. I ordered a Chargrilled Pork Meatball Vermicelli Noodle Salad. They came back to say they were out of the Pork Meatballs; but they graciously charred some chicken for me instead. My husband ordered the Beef Curry. We both ordered a heat level of 3. Our entrees were both quite good and fairly spicy. My husband chose the fried rice instead of the steamed. He found it to be flavorful as it had some mini- vegetables and it paired well with his tender beef and mushrooms and crisp pea pods, carrots, and onions in the coconut milk curry sauce. My dish, the vermicelli noodle salad, needed salt for me. I found the nuoc cham dressing sweet and the pickled daikon and carrots sweet as well. My waitress was able to ask the kitchen for actual fish sauce. The menu identifies the served sauce as fish sauce; but it's a dressing or dipping sauce - their version of nuoc cham. It's a preference and my preference is sweet and salty, even a little sour, too. But the salad itself was excellent. Perfect vermicelli with veggies and delicious chicken. Our service was impeccable, in spite of how busy they were. Our food was scrumptious. We will be back to try the Pho and other delicious sounding entrees. They have various Pad Thai, Lo Mein, Vietnamese Chow Mein and Singapore Noodles. There's a lot here to choose from. It will be fun. Next time I'll get photos!”
“Food was great! Very authentic, nothing fancy but that's honestly the best part. And the young lady at the front has the absolute best customer service I've seen in my life”
“I've been going here for almost 10 years and the food is excellent! The restaurant is a family owned business and a lot of the family work here. They are the nicest people. I highly recommend anyone wanting good Italian food and pizza to give it a try.”
“Good prices. Friendly service.Vegetarian options: Not a lot of non meat options. Refried and charro beans both have meat. They do have a cheese enchilada and some California vegetables.”
“A huge THANK YOU to Mary and Jeffrey Ball for paying for our lunch! We don't even know them but they were such a blessing to our family...there were TWELVE of us...God bless them!And...the food was great too!”
“Best danm burger I've ever had! Homemade fries were epic ?. Made it simple to order and customize my burger with mushrooms, cooked onions and bacon ?. Definitely going ”
“First time trying and pleased with my meal. I ordered vegetable yakisoba, edamame, and a side of steamed vegetables. The food was fresh and hot. Yakisoba noodle was very delicious. The edamame could use more flavor as they tasted with just a hint of salt. Next time I will try the hot kind, they appear to be flavorful. I will definitely be back.”
“I was invited here on an "initial meetup" on a Friday night. I love the setup of this place. It has a lot of character and was really beautiful to me, inside and outside. There is an upstairs and downstairs. No reservations were needed. Parking was sufficient and so was the availability of tables. From the hostess, waitress and owner, all were welcoming and had great hospitality. We did not have any appetizers but we did indulge in an adult beverage. He had a Noble Mule and I had a Glass of Red Wine. For Dinner, he had Bone-In Pork Chop w/ Bourbon Butter, Southern Greens and Fried Okra. I had Gnocchi served with Burrata Cheese, Heirloom Tomatoes, Spinach and Mushrooms with an addition of Grilled Salmon. He stated that he enjoyed his meal and I did as well. My only add is that it lacked flavor/ seasoning to really bring out the dish.It is a place a would visit again and feel like it is great for the overall experience. As a side note, we ate up stairs. I have bad ankle and I do not suggest taking the stairs because they are steep . Gratefully, the gentleman I was with was patient and walked m down the stairs.Dietary restrictions: I am Kosher Pescatarian and was able to tailor my meal to my liking based on the menu options.Kid-friendliness: A good variety on the kid's menu”
“This is just a special place, very unique and cozy ambiance. The food is good, staffs are friendly, and the owner definitely put a lot of thoughts and efforts in this business. Wish this business to thrive!”
“Great place for authentic Tex-Mex food, prepared and served by authentic Texicans. The chips and salsa were an addictive start to the meal. For me, Chicken Enchiladas are a benchmark that helps compare restaurants in the genre. I had mine with Ranchero sauce but there are several choices and come with beans and rice. The sauce was very nice with just the right balance of spice and heat. The chicken filling was juicy and nicely spiced as well. It was clearly a hotspot for the locals. and the limited parking spots on the street can fill up quickly but we went just before noon and were able to park right in front.”
“Always busy when I go but this place. Food melts in your mouth. Owner is a great person The yum-yum sauce is finger licking good. They stay busy but considering they are pretty quick with the food. Way generous portions in the plate. Definitely recommend.”
“Good home style breakfast available. All was good except the sausage and being herded out quickly. Really busy on weekends so waited a while for our order to be fulfilled 100%. The staff was hustling and friendly but forgot a few things. Easy and plentiful parking. Not much to break so kid friendly.”
