I never leave reviews but today I must. I eat at Ellis County at least twice a month, the reason I’m posting a 5 star review is due to Shawn, (new owner) came over to apologize about running out of peach cobbler and ice cream. Not only did he apologize but he insisted on Giving us banana pudding and a chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. Everything was pretty average..the brisket was fall apart tender but alittle dry. The beans tasted like ranch style beans and potato salad was average. The jalapeño cheese sausage was cold but good. The waitress only came around once after taking our orders. In my opinion the prices are too high..was $88 for 3 people to have lunch and that was before the tip.

Food is always hot and tastes pretty good overall. My chief complaint is that every takeout meal is always missing something. Make sure to account for and check your meals have all the side before walking out the door. Today it was missing sides last time a whole plate.
