“Beautiful rustic building and interior, with genuinely amazing texas bbq. It was easily placed as my third favorite in the state. It's not cheap but not overly expensive. I do wish the sides came in larger to go quantities. Great food, great experience.Vegetarian options: You could but why would you.Parking: Along the street outside the building which is in a historic downtown area.Wheelchair accessibility: Possible but not the best.“
“I visited the Midlothian location. . The food was great.. but what impressed me is I thought I left my wallet and I called and spoke to Pedro, the store manager. He went above and beyond to try and locate it for me.. him and another girl. I didn’t get her name, but they were both very helpful. I ended up finding it in my car… but I appreciate the effort they made trying to find it for me! Thank you so much for your great customer service ❤️“
“I never leave reviews but today I must. I eat at Ellis County at least twice a month, the reason I’m posting a 5 star review is due to Shawn, (new owner) came over to apologize about running out of peach cobbler and ice cream. Not only did he apologize but he insisted on Giving us banana pudding and a chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. On top of an incredible chop beef sandwich and fried okra (best fried okra I’ve had), the pudding and cookie were definitely a pleasant surprise. Shawn, your kindness and incredible bbq will always keep me coming back for more and one of these visits I’ll try something else, (chop beef) is definitely the bomb. “I called in an order for the meatloaf. The website states you get 2 pieces. When I picked up the order, I had 1 small piece. I mentioned I didnt get two. I decided to buy another piece, which was fine, but the rude and insulting comments and bad attitude from the lady in the kitchen was unnecessary. The remainder of the staff and service was great. Food was great but bad comments from the lady in the kitchen was reason enough for only 4 stars.“
“We arrived near 5pm and were seated right away on a Thursday evening. Has an online wait list but didn't need it. Good selection of food. We each had different steaks but both arrived quickly. Both were cooked as each was requested and were delicious. Rolls were very good. Wait staff came by several times to see how we were doing. Enjoyable dining experience.Parking: Shares parking with other businesses but plenty spaces are available.“

When your Texas Style BBQ is this good, spelling doesn't matter.The ribs literally fall off the bone, and the brisket is so tender you can cut it with a plastic fork, spoon, or spork.There isn't a dining room. It's more of a take out joint, but you can enjoy your order at one of their picnic tables.So, next time you want a little radiation (Cedar Hill is Radio Tower Central), try Phat Girlz. “I gave this place a try as I was craving barbecue and wanted to try something different. I ordered through Uber Eats and my food was still hot when it arrived! I ordered spicy sausage, greens, mac & cheese, and BANANA PUDDING. Why is banana pudding in all caps you ask? It’s because it’s THE BEST banana pudding I’VE EVER HAD!!!! Whoever makes it, please give my compliments to that chef! I will be definitely be ordering more food and dessert from this place very soon!!!“
“I hadn't visited Ray's since before Covid. I had actually forgotten about it. The brisket did not disappoint, the baked beans were just right and I should have gotten a larger potato salad. Best I've had in a long time and I know my potato salad. Will definitely go back!“
“We ordered two brisket stuffed baked potatoes. They were huge and piled high with brisket, butter, sour cream, and cheese. They were delicious. We also ordered a "large" order of fried okra. $6.99 for 30 pieces of okra is crazy (25 cents for a piece of okra). Maybe they were short on okra last night! ?♂️“
“Do not go here if you are in a hurry or you are snobby. The owner takes your order, cooks your food after you order, and serves you. You can tell he loves what he does and is not going to rush it! It's like going to a friend's house for dinner! Except this friend can actually cook! This is a 1 person show! We'll go back again.“
