“I am a complete sucker for a local joint particularly a locally owned and operated barbecue joint.
I was provided very pleasant counter-service by Leslie , who recommended the ribs. After getting my order i couldn't help but pop open the lid and snatch one even though I was taking them home to serve for the family supper. The little bite I snatched was absolutely delicious. After getting it home the entire family dug in to the brisket and ribs and everyone was in heaven.
I look forward to becoming regular.“

“The ribs fell off the bone and they were delicious. The chicken was so well seasoned and was so juicy and tender. The sausage had great flavor and was juicy and had a good snap when you bite into it. The potato salad was fire and the beans were so good. Brisket sold out before I could order it but that tells you it must be good. The baked potato was huge and it was prepared perfectly. The staff were very sweet and had the best customer service. They even gave me an extra peach cobbler and a few other things. Hands down probably the best bbq in Cedar Hill.“

“Roadside BBQ eatery with one large picnic table to eat at, otherwise it’s to go. BEST BBQ EVER! Price was reasonable and portions generous. Staff was super nice and came by (we got the one table) and checked on us.
Super attentive, bringing more napkins and a bag of potato chips for the kiddos. Amazing BBQ without the bbq sauce on it or with the sauce on it. Their rub ingredients were amazing. We WILL be back. Took one star off for only having one table but I understand their constraints, being just off street.“

“Literally moved to Ovilla 2 weeks ago and Franks was the first meal we had in our home! It immediately became our “bbq spot”. The staff is amazing and welcoming, remembered who I was when I came back for their fantastic banana pudding ❤️ If you want some of the best BBQ in the great big state of Texas look no further than this family owned spot. You will not be disappointed!“

Matthew and Marcus were amazing. When I arrived it was very busy, but they continued greeting everyone as they came in. They also took the time out to ensure everyone got exactly what they needed. They kept a great attitude through the rush! Very great people to have on staff. They communicated and worked well together to get everyone out.“

If you are looking for top-tier barbecue outside of Dallas, Texas Best Smoke BBQ House is an absolute must-visit. Do not let the gas station exterior fool you—once you walk inside, you will find a proper, comfortable restaurant dining area with great seating.
The portions here are massive, making it an extremely good value for your money. You certainly won't leave hungry! The quality of the food is top-notch, with incredible flavor in every bite, proving you don't need to overpay for world-class Texas barbecue when a place like this has it all.
To top it all off, the staff is super friendly, welcoming, and incredibly generous with everything they serve. Incredible food, great atmosphere, and unbeatable hospitality. We will definitely be back!“

“Very busy Sunday about 3PM. Wait time estimated to be an hour but our table for 6 was ready in 25 min. Server/Service was very good & reasonably attentive. Food desired was available, beautifully presented & cooked to satisfaction. Celebrating a special occasion was reason for visit. Will definitely return in near future.“

“The food here is always great, but today, on Christmas Eve, they went above and beyond! We realized last minute that we didn’t have enough meat for our family gathering. Even though they were closed and working a catering event, they answered the phone and absolutely saved the day. That kind of service is rare. Thank you, Ellis County BBQ! Merry Christmas🎄“

“This was the 1st time ordering from here and it was AWESOME!!!!! The Turkey leg was so BIG and it was done right!!! PERFECT!!! I do not live close to the restaurant but the food was still hot when it got here! I needed to call prior to ordering and the lady on the phone was so very friendly and respectful.
