“I loved it and will be back again. I have been to the Vera Cruz restaurant in Bishop Arts and I hoped this one was related. It is and the food is just as good. I'm thrilled that it's closer to home and even more thrilled to learn one is being built in Mansfield.Great hot sauce, I could almost drink it! Everything we ate was delicious. We ate mostly from the breakfast/brunch menu. Plan to be back to try the rest.“
“I visited the Midlothian location. . The food was great.. but what impressed me is I thought I left my wallet and I called and spoke to Pedro, the store manager. He went above and beyond to try and locate it for me.. him and another girl. I didn’t get her name, but they were both very helpful. “I had the best seafood in this place! The sauce was so so nice, never had anything like it. The snow crab was perfect! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because of the service. When we got there, we were told they only had 1 waiter so we had to wait. When we were finally sat, our waiter was in a rush to get our order due to obvious reasons - short of staff! This happened Friday 22nd March. Every other thing was spot on!“
“Def give this place a shot! I didn’t get to try their famous pasta but their crab and shrimp platter was fantastically full of flavor. No skimping on the crab either like some other seafood spots. It’s a lively atmosphere if you dine in with some good tunes playing- old school R&b. Take out can take a bit of time so order ahead or plan on having a drink at the bar..it’s def fun. “Most people take out, I see very few people in the dining area at this location. I give them 4 stars on food because not every dish shines. If I could rank their main courses, I would put their fried catfish first, followed by the tenders, then the chicken and last the livers and gizzards. This last one is tough to get right. That being said, the chicken is good with crispy crust; the white meat is not dry. The fries are frozen and crinkle-cut but fried well. The mashed potatoes are from powder, kinda reminds me of what you would get in a school lunch, but again, not bad. The green beans are good but nothing fancy. They also have corn nuggets and fried okra. It used to be dirt cheap, but prices have gone up like everything else. That being said, for the price, it doesn't ask anything of places like KFC or Golden Chick. If you order a family meal, you will also get a 2-liter coke, rolls, and jalapeños. I used to eat at one of these in Fort Worth all the time; it never disappointed. Do a search; you may be surprised to find one near you. They definitely have more locations in Fort Worth. For the money, their catfish can't be beat. You can get full on 2 filets and a side. I would call the fish their signature dish. Try it, you won't be disappointed.“

“The fried fish is the best around by far! Fries are perfectly seasoned. I didn’t try the chicken tenders my sons both said they liked them a lot and even mentioned a couple of days later. Lady customer was being sort of rude when I walked in but the staff handled it well. Tried the gumbo too, too much rice in it for me but some would appreciate that. Will definitely return.“
“Good seafood environment. Loved the location and how easily it was accessible. The server seemed a bit annoyed that I asked him for refills on my soft drink. Shouldn't have been a problem, all he has to do is take orders and the robot will deliver then he would still get a 20% grat. Service and attitude could be better, but luckily the food met the expectation. Getting a boil is plenty for two. Ordered something fried as well to contrast with boil.I've edited my review after they replied. I will be visiting again. “We went to Saltgrass to celebrate my recent wedding. The food here was amazing. The food came out surprisingly fast (almost too fast.) We were still trying to finish our salads and appetizers when our main entrees were brought out. The ribeye that my brother and I had was outstanding. My sister in law had the brisket burger and it was amazing! Highly recommend if you are not wanting steak or seafood. The only downside to our dinner was that our waitress did not keep up on refilling waters. Not only that but we were finished with our meal and waited a long time before receiving the check. She did not come to our table even though she was in the section. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its food and its atmosphere.“
“This place has very limited seating as it's designed for pickup. The food is always fresh and delicious. The only negative is the atmosphere. It's really not meant to have a nice atmosphere since it's only pickup but that's why I rated it like I did. Try their catfish and hushpuppies. Excellent food.“

“We were a large group of ten and the restaurant did a good job of accommodating us. The food was delicious and authentic Cajun. The waitress was very attentive. There is lots of fun decor in the restaurant. The jazz music was a little loud after a while but also kept the atmosphere energetic and still allowed for conversation of those close by.“
