“I am not reviewing this place as a lover of how amazing it is compared to other places. I am reviewing this place, because this is a casual restaurant where the workers are relaxed. It makes for a great first job for high schoolers.
I do love the fact they always show you the food before they put it in a bag to give you. That's unique. 👍“

“Placed an online order 7/23/2025 only to get to the restaurant and it was closed. Bars on the door, lights off, yet my credit card was charged!! I really enjoyed eating here but I will not return.“

“There was a small line not too too busy. The ceiling was leaking from the vents that was scary. Hazardous and extremely dangerous with it without a wet floor sign. Our food was delicious and I am Glad I came back to Killeen I only wish another captain d’s would come back our way! Missing a piece of home. The young man in the purple shirt was very helpful and amazing the customer service is outstanding still and I wouldn’t change anything about the wonderful feeling of getting what I paid for #alabama“

Had blackened chicken fettuccine, Progue (sp)? sampler, shrimp bruchette, burger and texas cavier. it was my birthday, so I truly expected a free dessert! after spending nearly $200 i was very disappointed that I didnt get offered one! my true birthday dinner at that! “Shrimp are fabulous, the hush puppies are perfect, the sweet potato fries are excellent. If you like tilapia, you might like the white fish. I don’t care for it. This store would probably double its customers and double its profits if they cleaned everything spotless. When the door to the store is so grimy that you don’t even wanna touch it, it’s kind of a turn off to a LOT of people. Manager…make sure your floors, doors, windows, stainless steel and bathrooms are cleaned spotless every single day before you open or after you close. Use vinegar in your mop water to elimate sticky floors.“

“I visit Joe's atleast once a month since it's close to work and convconvenient. I always get a chicken Cesar salad or a slice of pepperoni pizza.
The service is always quick and the staff is nice. Everyone greets you when you approach the counter.
The atoatoatmosphere is very laid back and comforting. It reminds me of visiting grandma, warm and welcoming.“

“I was hesitant at first since I had a bad experience at a Lisa’s a couple years ago, but this Lisa’s is like no other. Chicken was just what you’d expect but their extra sides are where it’s at!! Pizza pocket, corn nugs, and corn dogs were crazy good! Also get Gravy snd mashed potato’s and it makes everything 1000x better. Will be adding this to the regular spots to come back to.“

“The food was kinda mild. Like I had to add salt and they gave me yellow lemons.? I need the green ones for the tacos. The bababacoa tacos were better then most in the area and the tortilla double up is nice. The hot sauce was good but not very spicy. Over all it was ok for the price. Oh but I did have to pay $4 FOR TWO CAN COKES.“

Its also a great place for a big order, I buy me team lunch on occasion and the love when I bring back Louisiana Fried Chicken. The team there is also friendly and accommodating.“

“The food was good overall. The fish and chicken were great, but the fries were a little cool and could have used more salt. The restaurant itself was clean, smelled good, and the restrooms were clean as well. It’s also handicap friendly, with accessible tables up front, which I appreciate.
The young man at the counter was very nice and helpful. However, the rest of the team didn’t seem very attentive to other guests who were waiting on sauces and small requests.
I really like the look of the building, both inside and out. One thing that could use improvement is the login process on the tablets at the counter. Using a phone number instead of email raises some personal security concerns, and rewards should be available immediately after logging in.
Overall, a good visit with a few areas that could be improved.“

“Jimmy the manager is amazing. All his staff are very friendly. Busy or not busy you will get the most friendly service food service is amazing. Food very fresh. They all go above there duties to make every customer feel so welcome as family. The food quality is amazing. Jimmy the manager we see him 1 or 2x a week because he and all his staff makes you want to come back for all the great sea food. They are so family friendly here. My lil girl is autistic and when they see us come in the accommodate our seating to make her feel comfortable. Go jimmy.. You are the best. And the training you have done with your staff shows the same hospitality. They all are going to make sure you are 100 percent happy coming and leaving this place.Thank you Jimmy…“

The entrées and sides were the highlight of the visit — well‑prepared, flavorful, and worth the price.

This is where things fell short.
The service felt detached, as if the waitress was distracted or simply going through the motions. The overall vibe in the restaurant — felt unusually downcast, which affected the dining experience.
•Would I Return?
I would absolutely visit this franchise again, because the food is worth it. But returning to the Burleson location specifically is questionable based on the atmosphere and service during this visit.“
