“We came to Bourbon Street Bar and Grill expecting the amazing food everyone online raved about… but what a nightmare. The crabs were nearly impossible to eat because there weren’t enough shell breakers, the bread was ice cold, and everything literally tasted like mud. We have photos to prove it—this was not just disappointing, it was disgusting. We heard so much hype, but this was our first and last visit. Honestly, a refund or compensation feels appropriate given how bad this meal was.“

“My family and I celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday at Truluck’s in Southlake, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
We had a reservation for 7:15 PM for a fairly large group of nine people. Our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived because the party before us needed a little extra time, and since we were a big group there weren’t many tables that could accommodate us. The manager, Mike, came over personally to apologize for the delay and told me he wanted to make sure my mom had a memorable birthday celebration.
We were seated around 7:30 PM—honestly only about 15 minutes late, which didn’t bother me at all—but Mike insisted on sending complimentary appetizers while we waited. I told him it wasn’t necessary, but he very politely insisted. To our surprise he sent six appetizers: two shrimp cocktails, two crab cakes, and two orders of calamari. It was incredibly generous and such a classy gesture.
Our server Kyle was spectacular. He was friendly, attentive, and handled a table of nine with ease. Service like that makes a big difference, and he absolutely delivered.
The food and wine were phenomenal. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the steaks were excellent. I had the shrimp and scallop sauté and added an 8 oz filet because I couldn’t decide—no regrets. The Parker House rolls were a massive hit with the table (buttery, warm, slightly crisp on the outside), and we ended up ordering four baskets.
To top off the evening, they surprised us with two complimentary Baked Alaska desserts that were big enough for the entire table to share—not just the birthday girl.
I can’t say enough about how well Mike and Kyle treated our family. They went above and beyond to make my mom’s 70th birthday special.
Truluck’s Southlake is now our go-to spot for special occasions. We’ll absolutely be back.“

“I flew out of A21 Gate at DFW yesterday; another plane flight I didn’t look forward to/ nor dread (as I was flying home to meet my Honey), when what should appear: Pappadeaux! Then I decided to celebrate my successful trip with a fine $30 “airport meal!” Now usually, airport meal of &30 means a hot dog & glass of water (or 99¢ bottle of water marked up to 4.99 and 5$ hot dog marked up to $15 + tip)
But no no no, my friend! Pappadeaux, as good at the airport as out. I’ll show a pic of what a $30 Pappadeaux airport meal looks like.
My server Ethan treated me like visiting royalty, the food was EXACTLY what I needed. Just a salad & appetizer. I chose Caesar salad & a crab Mac & cheese! Do you think I poked around looking for a sliver of crabmeat!? Au contraire, cher! Pappadeaux for the win!“

“I popped in for dinner about 7 o'clock on a Thursday night. The restaurant was busy, but I was greeted Immediately and taken to a comfortable booth, even though I was dining alone. My drink order was taken as soon as I was seated, and my server came soon after to take my dinner order. I had the ahi tuna salad and a glass of prosecco; both delicious. Prices were expected for the location and quality of the food and service. This is a fun and lively atmosphere, which translates to very, VERY loud. Maybe not the best place for a romantic date night or a business meeting? But I'll definitely be back!“

When we arrived it was packed. A good sign. Wait was going to be an hour and a half. But I asked the wife if she wanted a drink and we sat at the bar. Immediately Daisy asked in a polite and attentive voice if we needed anything and even said we could eat there at the bar. Which we dont normally do anywhere. But during mine and my wife's time at that bar. It wasn't just the food at Papadeaux's which was excellent. It was the teamwork that the staff behind the bar had. They all worked well together, no arguing no sign of real chaos in them. Just them helping each other and knowing just what to do to help each other. And everyone of them. Stopped to ask and check in on us to make sure our time there was well enjoyed and takin care of in any way possible. My wife says that this restaurant is her most favorite that she has ever been to. And I am inclined to agree. I just wanted to let you know. That the workers behind your bar on 8/9/25. Daisy, Angel, Jade, Willis, Albreesha are forever immortalized in our memories. And we wanted to let you know. That's it was these people that made our experience at Papadeaux's establishment. They are professional, kind, attentive, valuable, lovely people just to be around. The waiter informed me that their special for the day was rainbow trout from Colorado. I decided to give it a try with grilled vegetables and a salad.
