Do not go here if you are in a hurry or you are snobby. The owner takes your order, cooks your food after you order, and serves you. You can tell he loves what he does and is not going to rush it! It's like going to a friend's house for dinner! Except this friend can actually cook! This is a 1 person show! We'll go back again.

Cash only! Great home cooked food. Older establishment, but still comfortable for family dinner. Catfish was crispy, hamburgers were greasy as they should be, salads were fresh, and fried mushrooms were excellent. Support local.

Wife and myself decided to try this place out 7-23-2023, we arrived 10 minutes before they open. 5pm we walked inside and met the owner/cook/waiter, he took out order and went and did his magic, every bit we took we loved, I like the quiet atmosphere, hometown arrangements inside, just down to earth relaxing. We plan on going back and trying another meal.

First off, if you are looking for a VERY GOOD STEAK Dinner, you have hit the jackpot. Today my wife and I invited out friends to dinner, and we brought them here. The Owner/Waiter/Busboy/Chef Joe greated us warmly. He had for a Special tonight "KING CRAB LEGS"!!! THEY WERE DELICIOUS. Everyone placed their orders. I asked Joe, " what the weight of the Crab Legs were, he said just over a pound of legs". So I ordered the Legs and a T-Bone steak. He said that the steak was just over " 2 (TWO) POUNDS... Helloooooo Dolly!!! I asked for it to be cooked RARE! Within 20 minutes, out comes our orders. All Entrees we're PERFECTLY COOKED. Mine was cooked to perfection. When we were finished with dinner, Joe brings the Dreaded "Check". Mind you, that there were 2 orders of the KING CRAB LEGS, 2 16 oz Ribeye steaks + my GIANT 2 (TWO) POUND T-BONE STEAK. At any other restaurant, just the Crab Legs and the 2 (TWO) POUND T-BONE STEAK would be around $100.00, but the entire check came to $145.38. Since this restaurant does NOT take Credit Cards and Since I am MARRIED MAN and carry very little cash, we only had $120.00. We told Joe what our problem was and said that we will send someone to the bank, he said and I QUOTE " You guys are local, right? We said yes, he said PAY ME THE REST LATER"!!!! I couldn't believe what was just said to us. We told him that we will be back tonight to settle the balance. He said to not worry and come back anytime in the week... I was blown away. I have NEVER heard of that kind of INTEGRITY & TRUST in my life. In a society that will make you scrounge up $.02 cents ( 2 pennies for those that went to public school ) to see a man that takes PRIDE IN HIMSELF, is just Awesome. We told Joe, that we will be back in the morning and pay him. He graciously said "OK". To say the least, we will be back again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again!!!! Sorry, got carried away....
