10/10 would recommend! This locally owned bakery has the BEST pan dulce, with that home made taste we all crave! Customer service is great, the owner is always around and he is the kindest man you'll ever meet. Store is always super clean, bread displays are organized and they always have samples available for you to try! We are yet to try their cakes but I'm sure they'll be just as good. Local businesses like this one deserve all the credit they can get 👍
La Tabasquena has delicious sweet bread. The conchas are the best in the RGV.
I am not one to be easily impressed with sweet bread as I don't eat it often but the Concha i had today was by far the best I have ever had, no cap. Normally when I have one I'll eat half and give the other half to my kids but sorry kids this one is all mine. Worth the drive from where I am to get great tasting treats.

La Tabasqueña Bakery is a small but mighty bakery offering the best sweet bread, with soft, moist bread that melts in the mouth. The conchas are super delicious and to die for, especially the cookies and cream flavored one. Other popular choices include doughnuts, empanadas de calabaza, and a croissant filled with cajeta. The price is phenomenal and the owner provides good customer service, showing love and passion for making pan. The staff is very kind and helpful, though one guy is always in a bad mood. The selection can be a little disappointing because the bakery sells out, which only confirms the bread is fresh and delicious. This place beats la reynera, paris, and fénix bakery. Every choice is a great choice, and customers highly recommend it.
