We have been coming here for over 20 years but recently for the weekend breakfast. Such a good deal and if you’re in the mood to eat a big breakfast, they offer a menu for ayce or if not you can order off a la carte. The pancakes are the best I’ve ever had!! Cheap mimosas too. Yum!
Presentation was nice but food not that great. More of a Tex-Mex, came to the restaurant around 1pm and I’ll be honest was disappointed with the lack of flavor in the food. Sad to say but the only good thing was the service and chips with salsa.
La Escondida is easily one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Missouri City / Sugar Land area. I’ll be honest, there isn’t a lot of truly good Mexican food around here. There’s plenty of Tex-Mex if that’s your thing, but authentic Mexican spots are harder to find. Gallitos is probably the only decent option in First Colony, and La Escondida is worth the short drive past that.
