I was sad to hear that Jazz has permanently closing. As with all businesses in The Permian Basin getting employees is difficult. In Monahans it is even worse because there are more jobs than people. Sorry to see Jazz close.

The quality of the food has gone down hill drastically in 1 year. Every meal at my table of 11 last night had problems. From the steaks being overcooked, to the vegetables being undercooked or just outright cold, it was not an enjoyable experience. The food tastes like it was microwaved.

I didn't know what to expect when I rolled in here at lunchtime. A "jazz cafe" in Monahans? I was skeptical and to make matters worse, I wasn't assuming the food would be good. Well, I was surprised. The service had been consistently good, the food is on point for the price they charge. I have been here a half dozen times and not once have I had a bad experience. I've only been there on the lunch hour and each time they're quick, they're efficient and I get my food in a reasonable amount of time considering. After trying another place around the corner and walking away from them incredibly disappointed (the Italian place), I'll be returning here from now on. And they don't overcharge me for my food. Hard to argue with that. I hope this helps someone.

Not many options in this town. This place gets busy for lunch but they manage to keep the service moving. I'm not the biggest fan of their catfish, as it lacked flavor, however I will be back to try other options.
