Good beer selection and friendly service

I didn’t think I’d ever write a review like this, but what I saw here needs to be said. I was dining with friends and saw the owner absolutely lose it on someone in our group over a bingo mistake. Instead of being kind or even neutral, he used the microphone to mock and humiliate her with curse words and insults. There were KIDS nearby. The food was awful, and the atmosphere was completely ruined by how he spoke to paying customers. The whole place was unprofessional, chaotic, and honestly… just sad.

The hamburgers are fantastic…but it is too bad the woman behind the bar has such a nasty attitude. Never in ANY dining experience ANYWHERE have I encountered such flippancy and rudeness from a server. Although the two of us were the only diners in the place, the bartender acted like she was giving us a real break waiting on us, exhibiting sighs and eye rolls as she took our very simple order—then, she couldn’t seem to even remember that she had taken it. She left the restaurant to go outside for a quite a while, and when she came back, she hung out at the far end of the bar. Ready to leave, we called down to her to get our check; she replied that she was having car trouble and to “hang on”. Another couple came in and sat down as we were leaving, and she was quite rude to them as well, yelling across the room to get their order. We mentioned this experience to friends and, surprisingly, many in the group said they had experienced similar, rude treatment. The business seems to be struggling—the reason seems clear to us!! I certainly want to give the businesses in Woodforest our support, but inattention and rudeness to customers is not acceptable.

Everyone drinks behind the bar, specially towards the end of the night. They don’t charge you, then they overcharge you because they are drunk and want to cover the cost of drinking behind the bar.

Chill place but don’t apppercaite the bartender being drunk and over charged after they say let’s do shots that THEY OFFERED, I didn’t ordered it and ring me up.

The offered and charged me for the shots is crazy work.

Specially I just wanted a quick beer after work not get sucker in to pay the bartenders tab for the night .

Terrible experience at Beer Forest, made worse because the bartender who treated us this way was the manager. A group of us (all over 21) came in after a run to grab food—not drinks—and were immediately met with hostility. Without a greeting, the manager demanded our IDs in an aggressive tone. Before we could respond, he pointed to one of us and accused him of lying about his age, saying, 'He’s not 21,' without properly checking the ID. When we calmly handed it over, he manhandled it, threw it back at us, and demanded we leave, saying, 'For lying to me, you have to leave.'

We calmly explained the birthday, and after scanning the ID, he realized he’d misread it. Instead of apologizing, he doubled down, claiming the ID ‘looked fake.’ When we tried to order food, he rudely cut us off, saying, 'You’re taking it to go—I don’t like your attitude,' despite the fact that we remained calm and respectful throughout. At that point, we decided to leave without ordering.

The fact that this was the manager makes the experience even worse. His behavior was completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and hostile. He refused to admit his mistake or treat us with any basic decency. If you’re looking for a welcoming environment with decent service, steer clear of this place.

we had a nice reboot from our original plan to dine at Amalfi. after no attention in 15 mins at that place, we decided to try this one. glad we did. the burgers were amazing. best in the area. the conversations by young men at the bar were too colorful for my taste, especially with a 7 year old girl seated next to them with her mom at the bar. why does every other word have to begin with F?

Having a local neighborhood bar is wonderful, having one with good beer options, friendly staff and yummy food, is a gem! We love this bar! It's kid friendly, they do events and we love how close it is!

Our favorite place to hang out! The beer selection is amazing! The staff our are very nice. The food is great. One of the best Philly's ever! Add jalapeños on it!

Great food and beers on draft, and the giant pretzel is truely giant.

Awesome place and Awesome people

The staff is unbelievable. So attentive as I am dieting and they take care of me. I have work on my pc here and they are great. I can order my healthy meals.
