Glad to see most people have had a good experience here. The Scottish lady server was impatient, abrasive, defensive and demeaning. That in itself would keep me from coming back. The escargot was fishy tasting and the samosas were subpar. Our order was forgotten, water and nuts were not offered in the interim. No wine menu because “it always changes”. Just overall was not pleasant. Won’t be back. Too many places around here with much better service and wines to revisit this one.

It’s unfortunate that the actions of one employee can otherwise ruin an entire night out, because the atmosphere is fantastic. On multiple occasions, they have scolded employees in front of other customers, and are blatantly rude to customers.

H Wines in downtown Montgomery is a favorite of mine for girl’s night out or just to grab a glass of wine and quick bite after work. They have a great selection of all French wines and every menu item that I have tried is delicious, including a few Indian cuisine items which is a rarity in Montgomery County. They also have a wonderful Sunday brunch. My absolute fave is the butter chicken…so flavorful and perfectly seasoned!

My girlfriends came in from out of town and we went to discover downtown Montgomery, TX. I'm new to Conroe. We stumbled upon the amazing French wine bar. It's inside an old bank building. To start, as soon as you walk in, the owner, Steven, guests you with a French kiss and a hug. Je is so adorable, we all fell in love with his friendly genuine personality. The ace is so quaint and charming like Steven's personality. It's like it wad meant to be for him to settle a wine bar here. It's small but cozy. We bellied up to the bar and asked for a wine menu. He said, he was the menu and proceeded to ask what we like, what our preferences were, what we usually drink, then he makes a recommendation. Our recommendations were spot on. We ordered an appetizer of bruschetta. Everything was was delicious. We adored the special personal touch of selecting our wines. He also owns the restaurant next door. That I can't wait to try as well. Ypu have to come visit Steven and let him pick you out a great wine in his selection. He has a other wine bars I believe. MUST STOP HERE!

The best winery we’ve been to I think anywhere in the world!! We came for my birthday and were met by Jackie, the kindest and most generous woman, and Philippe, also amazing and funny and kind!! We were given a tasting to pick our wines which were all INCREDIBLE. The atmosphere is beautiful and homey and the people are what makes this place extraordinary. We were shocked to come across such a gem in the small town of Montgomery and can’t wait to come back for their Wednesday wine/food pairings and Sunday brunches. They make you feel like family right away and you’ll never want to leave. Extraordinary!!

One of the most neat wine tasting experiences I’ve had! Not only is it full of history, but the owner is so much fun! He helped me pick a wine that matched my tastes and the food was incredible. It does look like the menu has changed since the last review, but I highly recommend the samosas. Make sure to ask to tour the bank!

We had a wonderful afternoon here on Saturday! It was our second time (same getaway weekend last year) and the staff recognized us and even remembered some of the wine we enjoyed last time. The recommendations were spot on! We love the history of the old bank too. Such a unique spot. We’ll be back next year!
