I've been wanting to stop in and finally did tonight! We'll certainly be back! I had the grilled shrimp which came over a bed of rice and chose fried okra as a side. It was delicious and seasoned just right. My husband had red beans and rice and the crawfish cajun fritters. Great flavor! Teddy who was working that evening gave us a couple of the alligator fritters to try! I'll definitely get those next time. Really good. We also ordered a bowl of the chicken sausage gumbo to take home for lunch tomorrow. We'll definitely be coming back! Thanks, Teddy!

We just moved to Texas and needed to pick up some things from Walmart. Noticed this little spot. We got all kinds of things to try (about 5 different items) But they forgot to add the Crawfish Etouffee. With that being said; the food was fresh and very delicious. We only wish it was larger portions for the price.Update (3/5/2022) Staff made it right. I received my "Crawfish Etouffee" is was so delicious. Next time I'm buying a bowl. Lol. Thank you. =)

What a gem! Thank you Jesse for your kind and quick service. We had the fried catfish and shrimp + two sides (fries and coleslaw). Every item was seasoned well with good depth of flavors. Tasted very fresh and fried with clean oil. Will be coming back!

Hi allI just wanted to share some details on an amazing restaurant I was privileged to go to today with a small groupIt’s called Kajun Kreol Cafe (inside Walmart in Conroe ,on the produce side)I was there as part of a group doing a food review and I was absolutely blown away!!Had I been just shopping at that Walmart location I would probably never have tried this restaurant, but because I was a part of this restaurant review group in my neighborhood I did try it and oh my goodness..... I really would have missed a treat if I had not gone today!So I thought I would share with the area because you too may just walk past this amazing culinary adventure and not notice!I can highly recommend the boudin balls, the Fried Cat fish (best I have ever had!), blackened catfish ( for spice lovers), fried shrimp (light and crispy, flavorful breading; superb). The etouffe, was outstandingly flavorful. And beignets and chicory coffee to die for!I was so very impressed with all the foods we sampled, and I am certain that my shopping at Walmart in the future will ALWAYS include a trip to Kanjun Kreole Cafe in the future even if it’s just for beignets and coffeeWe were told that they will cater parties as well, and there are other items like stuffed with jambalaya chicken breast that is bacon wrapped and frozen that you can purchase and take home and bake.The owners name is Richard and he has sunk his entire 401k into this business , it’s his retirement dream.If you like Cajun food, I strongly recommend that you give it a try and support Richards dream.You will be very pleased you did! I promise!!

This venue caters to families & boaters, so I that's how u r spending ur time in the area, this place is for u. U may find the menu pricey for what u get, but our patio Lakeview was worth the upcharge. Staff is super friendly & aims to please. Hitches during our visit: no clean silverware, no clean napkins, and no available bartender. Our minor waitress tried her best to mix drinks--but we had to send 1 back as undrinkable. She gets an A+ for problem solving tho! We were out for girls nite, and will probably not make a return visit.
Food was very good, restaurant was very clean. Right on the wter, Food came in a reasonable amuont of time, would go again

Guess where I got this amazing fried shrimp?!? This inside of Walmart and it’s EXCELLENT!!! This place is what you call a hidden gem. The shrimp is fresh and the light batter makes it so wonderful. The cocktail sauce is just as good. The crawfish cheddar fries are out of this world. Never had anything like this before and I’m glad I found it. This has become one of my favorite place to get my shrimp fix and it should be yours also.
