Our server was very professional and polite. She just seemed like she was over stretched and trying to handle too much. It took a while in-between each time she check on us. The food was really good he stake is just a little heavy on the salt. Cooked perfectly though. Unfortunately I had an old fashioned that was watered down and had too much, what tasted like, simple syrup and the whiskey was barely noticeable. I tried ordering a double gin neat and it tasted like it was 50/50 water and gin. Overall not a bad place just don't order drinks from here.

We called in our order of 2 entrees and was asked what kind of dressing for our salads. When I picked up the food I noticed that we didn’t get our cups of soup that went with the entrees. I was told that it’s only for dining in. After arriving home I noticed our salads were missing too. The steaks were really good but we will dine in next time if we wish to get a complete meal.

My wife and I dined here with our friends on Dec. 22, 2023. I am a little late in offering my review, but the experience is still fresh. We were seated at our Reseved table promptly and our waitress was attentive and friendly. Two of us ordered Rib Eye, one ordered Prime Rib, and one ordered chicken fried chicken. The salad was great! I love a good salad! Our dishes were presented in a timely fashion,...hot and delicious. I cannot express enough how delicious my Rib Eye was! A great, aged steak and prepared perfectly according to my request....medium rare. We live out of state but I would certainly frequent Kloesel's often if I resided nearby. I love good steak, ...and Kloesel's serves great steak!

Perhaps I am bias as I'm not accustomed to heavily salted dishes that seem to be the only "seasoning" used aside from pepper. I tried the chicken fried chicken with asparagus, fried mushrooms, spinach artichoke dip, chopped sirloin with baked potatoes, potatoes skins, the beef & barley soup and their house salad with oil & vinegar dressing. Out of everything, the only thing I truly enjoyed was the fried mushrooms; the texture was pleasant, cooked thoroughly and good portion. The 4-pieces of asparagus as my side, was only steamed and more than half the stalks were so touch they were inedible. The chicken fried chicken was extremely salty I could only get through half of it before throwing in the napkin. Same for the chopped sirloin. The spinach artichoke dip was probably the most disappointing. The cheese sauce was grainy in texture, very salty, had the suggestion of spinach and I didn't get any sense of artichoke being present. To top that off, the chips served with it was the salted round chips you'd find from Tostitos. The service was great especially considering they were under staffed that evening. But I won't be going back because of the poor foods.

So the wife and I decided to go out to dinner and we haven’t been here in a long while. This was the place to go while growing up in the small town. Well after tonight, I will not be going back anytime soon or ever. The service was very very bad. The young girl that was our server took our order and we didn’t see her for a long time after. Once people started to show up and she started serving them and noticed we haven’t had our salad or bread. So she decided to come by and hand us a salad and bread saying she was sorry for the service. Then we waited for another 15 minutes or so then our meal finally showed up. Well the food wasn’t how I asked so I was going to ask her about it. Well she never came back till my wife was done with her meal and I looked around and other were wondering if they were going to get any service. Long story short this young girl doesn’t care about her job or care what customers think about the place. Well this will be the last time we come to eat here and I will most definitely let family and friends about her and this place.

Were on the road and someone recommended. Very disappointed. Iced tea was weak, chicken fried steak must be pre-bettered from a box, hamburger steak left bad after taste. Ordered desert that should have been fresh to go- came out frozen and was told to microwave when I got home ? very pricy for lunch almost $60 not good.
