I went in and got a to meet plate everything was delicious. Service was great. Grab your food sit down and eat atmosphere mediocre. I understand everything is getting more expensive the only thing I was disappointed in was the amount of meat for the price. But even with that being said I would definitely stop here coming by again.
I will give you my honest opinion coming from someone raised on Deep South Alabama bbq. The brisket was tender, flavorful and it had a beautiful color to it but I can’t let you slide on the gassy smokey taste that robs the bbq of that rich meat flavor you expect to taste when you are eating meat. When I added onions and bbq sauce and a pickle it helped to balance it out. The cabbage was impressive and the macaroni was creamy and cheesy. I was also able to save a lil bit for later while leaving satisfied.

Spent about $70 getting plenty of stuff for the next couple days as well. Food was on point. Service was great and the person I was dealing with was easy going and friendly. Wish more truck stops had this type of food option. Have yet to have a bad run in with any of these BBQ places. Thanks for the food.

I went here today. The food was absolute trash. I got sausage, turkey, and brisket. I had a bite of each and threw it in the trash. All I could taste is dirty smoke. What an absolute waste of money.

So visited the place before and wasn’t impressed the first visit but gave another chance today 8-21-24 and well it was worse than before. Spent 30 dollars on a brisket sandwich and loaded baked potato and well let’s start with it’s so over priced and quality is so poor that I can’t believe they are still in business. The loaded potato was so mushy that it was like eat mashed potato’s the chopped brisket was the poorest quality I have ever ate. I had fat in every bit some I was just fat after putting all the fixings in it just was a mess. Couldn’t eat so we just went next door to Taco Vasa and got super nachos along with a taco for 11.00 which fed me and my wife. Unbelievably the worse BBQ I have ever eaten. Facility is a Dukes Travel plaza and that was clean and inviting but the service at CottonBelt well could be a bit more intuitive to their products and change their a bit more regular cause the veggies looked a day old and the brisket meat wasn’t good cutter should have realized how bad it was and not even served it but I guess profit over quality might be their motto. This is the last time we spend a dime in a Cotton Belt BBq restaurant.
They know how to do truck stops in Texas! The BBQ here was so good and the entire staff was really nice.

Is this the best BBQ in Texas, probably not, is it the worst BBQ in Texas, definitely not, it bit pricey I agree with that but it's definitely a pretty good BBQ and I look forward to coming here every time I pass through. I'm a truck driver and I've seen good food and food you wouldn't feed your dog and this place is an excellent BBQ place.

Did my 34hr reset since i saw i had a bbq place, well bbq was too pricy for its quality i had a two meat plate turkey, brisket with side of baked patatoes and macncheese, $27 i would think it would be good but brisket was to fatty couldnt really taste the actual meat turkey was to plain no flvors to much grease that im rating from the restroom right now
