I tried to give this dairy queen another shot, but boy do I wish I didn’t. I came in tonight around 6 and the manager was the most disrespectful person I’ve ever met. She was very rude not only to me but to her employees working. She also made weird faces to one of her employees while taking another persons order. This Dairy Queen needs to rethink who they have as managers. Needless to say I will never come back to this restaurant

I checked in a hotel up the street around 9 pm and decided to get chicken and dumpling since it's a comfort food and what I thought would be a pleasant end to a stressful day. Unfortunately, that was not the case because I was sold SPOILED AND SOUR chicken and dumplings. I did not return the evening and said I would bring it to them in the morning because I didn't want to run the risk of receiving even more ROTTEN food. BIG MISTAKE. The manager on shift couldn't be bothered with me and did not even speak to me personally. She told the cashier to tell me that she's not willing to do anything bout it. Absolutely horrible. I will be disputing the transaction with my credit card due to the quality issues. If your passing through Mt Vernon Texas, do yourself a favor and don't stop at Dairy Queen. They're wonderful everywhere in Texas EXCEPT Mount Vernon!!!

Passing through to Oklahoma and stopped in for a blizzard. Fire 🔥 Fighter whom took out order was so nice . He had the best customer service. If anyone passes through this area you must stop by this dairy queen . You will not be disappointed.

Ordered a peanut buster parfait and it was so salty it could not be eaten. Called and talked to the manager and gave my name and was told I could come back and get one for free. We live out of town so it was weeks before we came back. Went back today and was told I had already gotten it, last week. How would anyone else know? Basically called me a lair and both girls are the counter shrugged and said, nope, you already got it last week. We will never go back.....poor customer service!!!!!!

Super friendly and offers a local item -country fried steak tenders- that isn’t available in my home state which was cool to try.

My husband and I both ordered the steak finger basket soft-cooked like we always do. They came out hard as rocks so we couldn't eat them. We asked them to cook them correctly and they refused, so we got burgers instead they were cold and the patties were dry.

I have been eating at Dairy Queen for more than 30 years in around 10 different states, and I must say, this one is the worst. If you ever find yourself in Mt Vernon and are craving DQ, do yourself a favor and drive on up the road to the Mt Pleasant DQ.

Tried to place an order. In the middle of ordering several people started laughing and then they hung up they picked the phone back up started laughing again and then hung up completely. Orders at drive thru are never right
Located right next to the highway exit. The restaurant was very clean. Witnessed the crew member cleaning the outside windows. The floor inside was clean as well as the restroom. The orders were cooked after you order. French fries were hot and crispy with a whole cup full of ketchup. The grilled chicken sandwich was piping hot. The burger was hot as well with icy cold lettuce. The $2.99 sundae was enough to complete a fulfilling meal. Highly recommended.

I happened to be in Mt. Vernon to run some errands and decided to stop by Dairy Queen to get some dinner for my family and I before heading home. Went through the drive thru. They were out of the first 3 types of blizzards I tried to order, finally got one they had. Paid and was asked to pull around to the front. Not a big deal. I then waited 30 minutes in the parking lot before they finally brought me my food and I left to go home, about a 30 minute drive. Get home, and low and behold I am missing food, I was charged for my full order, but did NOT receive my full order. I live 30 minutes away. It's not like I can just pop back in and pick it up. beyond frustrating. Food I did receive tasted fine. but the service was absolutely terrible, rude, unempathetic, and inaccurate.
