My visit with my son for lunch was delicious. The Reuben sandwich was the BEST and my son LOVED his grilled four cheese and bacon sandwich. We also each had a cup of the sausage and shrimp chowder. It was spiced perfectly. This is a WONDERFUL place that DEFINITELY deserves a trip for lunch. I hate we were SO full not to have dessert. Next time we'll have a half a sandwich and a cup of soup. We both took half a sandwich home each. Don't miss the opportunity to eat here. The food is AWESOME! Thank you SO much for an EXCELLENT lunch and GREAT service. ❤️

My favorite is the Patty Melt!! The soups are always delicious! Today was Cheesy Beefy Nacho. Yum Desserts are must have. Crème Brûlée is my fav❤️

Best small town eatery in Texas. Hands down. Not only is the food great, but the atmosphere Julia and her staff provide is exceptional. I feel like family every time I walk through the door. Highly recommend this place if you are driving through or you’re a resident of the surrounding areas.

The owners take pride in their place and their food (which they gave a right to), bit also love to share its history and will take the time to share and answer my Hubby's questions. Love the place. What a GREAT place!! Mom and pop ran business, they are so sweet. We loved the patty melt and the Turkey Ruben. The homemade soup of the day was a shrimp, sausage & potato, so so good. They have this snow cone with so many flavors, the ice melts in your mouth you can add ice cream for an extra treat. Next time when we are in the area we will definitely return.

Stopped in for lunch with a couple buddies. Is a cute lil restaurant with a nice variety on the menu. The staff was friendly , inviting and informative on the specials quickly took drink and our food order. Our waitress Mackenzie was awesome she was on top of her game soon after we walked in the restaurant filled up but she was great never let our drinks get low which is a plus with me and she was very attentive. Before our meals came out we was given a small sample bowl of shrimp and sausage soup which was pretty good. My only complaint was the celery but thats me I'm not a celery fan. Once our meals arrived thats when things got interesting being our first time didn't know what to exspect. My tablmates I'll call friend 1,2 & 3 #1 ordered the club sandwich with baked beans an salad as sides said samdwich was ok beans taste like bushes baked beans and wasn't a fan of the sweetness of the salad dressin. Friend 2 had the BLT with same beans that seem to be from bushes baked bean can and chips said BLT wasn't bad just bacon could have been crispier. Friend 3 ordered the Angus bacon cheeseburger with mac and cheese and potato salad as sides. He had same issue with bacon the mac and cheese fell a lil short as appeared to be elbow noodles with shredded cheddar cheese sprinkled on top taste was as described noodles with shred cheese on top he said nothing of tator salad. I ordered the Angus bacon cheeseburger with tator salad and mac and cheese and found same issue with bacon wanting to pull everything off burger slightly crispier would have been better I found the mac and cheese the same as friend 3 no liquid gold in it I expect some smooth melted cheese as for tator salad wasn't worst I've had needed mustard for me and I didn't find the pieces of egg I like may have had some just I didn't find them the burger besides the bacon issue could have been better friend 3 and me liked the grilled texas toast the cheese was good american for 3 and provolone for me it was missing pickles and the angus patty was a disappointment lacking in seasoning and flavor. All in all it was a edible meal I'm sure I'll return to try some other things on the menu. The restaurant is clean the blue bonnet sunset moral on back wall was nice. Prices are above what I believe they should be especially on some things the sides could be slightly bigger but maybe fine for light eaters which I'm not I very rarely take anything home or leave a bite behind from my plate.
