Stumbled into this BBQ joint after parking my truck at the Loves and I'm glad I did. It's a pretty low key place so you can very easily miss it driving by, but the food is amazing. I had the brisket sandwich and a baked potato. To say that everything was on point would be an understatement. Delicious. The baked potato was huge, steaming hot, and tasted really good. It pretty much is how the other reviewers mention. Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

Driving thru TX en route from NYC to NM. Stopped by after a long 8hr drive from TN. The ribs are bar-none. The rub they use tickles every single sense from first bite to last swallow. That spud with all the fixins was unlike any I ever had before. All the sides are insane, we loved the green beans and cowboy beans the most. Last but not the least, that vinegar BBQ sauce cuts thru every single hint of savory for the perfect balance in every bite.

We came in as they were closing and they got everything back out and served us with a very nice and respectful tone also food is very good I would recommend if you’re driving through Mount Vernon Tx to stop here and get something to eat.

My husband loved the hot links and brisket! Our son demolished his mac and cheese and 2 pieces of Texas toast. I had the rib plate with yummy potato salad. We shared the peach cobbler with ice cream!!

Very quiet home like restaurant. Feels very comforting. Food wise no words really. I’ve had the 1 meat plate and 3 meat plate. Brisket is one of my favorites in the two times I’ve came. Baked beans were very good, peach cobbler was astounding, baked potato was really good as well. All in all I really love the food here and it feels like it was made with love. Especially the peach cobbler. Definitely recommend this place!
