The Sliced Brisket had zero bark and tasted like it had been sitting in the warming container for at least 48 hours . Sausage tasted like a hotdog. Bbq sauce was watery with no flavor. The table tops were not very clean and were sticky. The name of this eatery is very misleading.

OVERPRICED! Tiny portions of food! 17 dollars for 6 small bites of brisket! This place is a terrible example of food price gouging is a crime and soon it will come to an end... ridiculous! I'll never come back threw your food on the ground they had no beans or anything but yet advertised 2 sides my ass!!!

The service was solid, but the food was pretty horrible. I'm convinced the bbq was just brown water, the meat was tender but flavorless, and the mac was just watery yellow noodles.

We have had better bbq, and we have had worse. So this one is in the middle for us. The other thing that I didn't like was I thought I was getting mashed potatoes, and it turned out to be their ice-cold potato salad their baked beans were dry.

We like the chopped beef sandwich. It's small but meat tender & not full of fat. Price very reasonable. If you're a big eater, it's affordable enough to get 2 sandwiches.
The Barbecue House was recommended to me from a friend that lived in Nacogdoches. I can see why it. Walking in a small town with the aroma of fresh barbecue. Super friendly staff. Good size portions with a tasty menu. Recommend barbecue for your “pit” stop!

This was hospital brisket. No bark it was already cut floating in sauce I have no idea how the reviews are so good. The staff was friendly but I probably won’t be back.

I’ve been trying ribs all around Nacogdoces and finally got to this place. I ordered one pound of pork ribs for the princely sum of $20, to go. Got home and opened the package. 4 average size ribs. The bones were large and the meat was soft, do not know when they were bbqed. No bbq sauce, basically just the four ribs. The four bones were 4.2 ounces. I don’t feel that the ribs were good enough to go back, so I will be on to the next. I heard their poor boys were good.

My all-time, fave bb cue!!! Unbeatable chopped pork sandwiches. Keep it simple, like the original menu: sandwich or plate, chips and a drink. The beans are good and the sauce is wonderful. I miss the 1970's, though, when you walked in off a wooden area and were then on a sawdust-covered floor....i loved watching the meat get chopped up on the giant hunk of wood. Pimiento cheese-stuffed jalapenos are cold, crisp and HOT!!!! Drive- thru is friendly.

Asked for sliced brisket but got chopped up slices mixed with watery bbq sauce. Asked for bbq chicken and got some kind of baked chicken breast wrapped in foil. That was as then chopped and mixed with sauce. They had hot links but might as well just call it chopped hot dogs.Overall if felt like this place has its golden time and now it's running on doing the bare minimum.Prices are high yet meat quality isn't.I've been hunting high and low for good bbq. But it just doesn't seem to exist in East Texas.I want every place to do great. And good BBQ isn't that hard. But it seems some places go out of their way to try to make if their own and change it up a bit too much.Y'all had a steady clientele and that's good I wish you all the best. Thank you.
