Loved the staff and food! I had the best fried okra west of the Mississippi and the steak is fantastically seasoned and cooked. Gotta try their pecan ice cream too, was great in a root beer float.
If you want small town flavor this is your place. When you walk into the Smokehouse it feels like you are stepping back in time. Friendly staff, good food, and fantastic bbq. Whenever we are In Nacogdoches we have to visit and are never disappointed.
The ratings aren't wrong, this place is great. We were in town checking out the university and asked a local where to eat and this is what he recommended. The place was packed but we still got our order pretty quickly. The steaks are kind of old school, similar to what mom used to cook, thin, and on the well done side but it was great. We got 2 steaks, 2 burgers, all with sides and drinks for 60 bucks which I thought was a good price. They have bbq too and Ice cream...
