First time here. Went with 7 friends. Got appetizers , seabass and steaks which were all delicious. Had various cocktails recommended by the staff. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the landscape. Highly recommend for a unique dining experience.

We were searching for a nice place to have a rehearsal dinner & a co-worker recommended The Cottage. Boy am I glad that she did! We went to try the food & talk with the owners on pricing for something like that. She sat with me on the phone & went over many things. So we took the 3 hour drive to try the food & drinks & they did not disappoint! We had the Cosmoplitan, Smoked Old Fashioned & the Smoky Rita. The Cosmo… delish & my boys loved the old fashioned! Our appetizers were the stuffed mushrooms, caprese bites & the spinach artichoke dip. All were fantastic but that spinach artichoke dip… outta this world delish! Our meals were the tenderloin, smothered chicken, pork chop & steakhouse sandwich. The steakhouse sandwich blew our minds!! So delicious. Huge chicken breast portion for the smothered chicken. Pork chop was a tad dry, but pork is tough to cook without being dry. Filet was cooked perfectly.Ella was our server & had the best suggestions & made our visit so wonderful!! We loved the jazz music playing softly in the background. It was not too loud that we couldn’t have a conversation between the four of us but loud enough to enjoy in the atmosphere! We highly recommend this restaurant!

Nice place and good food but terrible wine portions. Barely 4oz. About 3 sips. Not worth the price. Very disappointing.

Very disappointing experience. My boyfriend and I have been to The Cottage Wine Bar before, at least 6 months ago, and our previous experience was amazing. Great food, our server was extremely attentive and personable, and beautiful ambiance. We decided to come back again tonight, and were extremely disappointed with our experience. First off, their menu is completely different than the first time we came. Originally, there were a lot of different options on their menu, including pasta, sandwiches, burgers, etc. We came tonight and there are literally only crepes on the menu, and 1 burger option. I understand that at some restaurants, menu's rotate based off of inventory or season, but to have your entire menu solely be crepes is bizarre to me, as they are not advertised as a crepe restaurant. We ordered the caprese bites for an appetizer, and had to wait 30 minutes before they came out. Keep in mind, it is literally 4 crostini's with mozzarella and tomatoes on it. They were also not very busy at the time that we ordered this (~3 other tables). We went another 15 minutes without seeing our server, and were finally approached and asked if we wanted entrees. I ordered the Florentine crepe, and my boyfriend ordered the burger. We, again, waited around 30 minutes before we received our food, or even saw our server. Our server wasn't even the one who dropped our food off, and he didn't approach us to ask how the food was until about 10-15 minutes after we had received it. The Florentine crepe was the most plain, boring, unseasoned item I have ever had at a restaurant, especially one that is as pricey as The Cottage. $16 for what tasted like canned chicken and spinach, with no salt or pepper or any seasoning at all. It was so bland. Any boyfriends burger was over cooked and chewy, and his mashed potatoes also had zero seasoning on them. We immediately asked for the check so we could leave. Our server was very nice and I could tell that he was trying his best, so the 2 star review is not a reflection on his service. He was not very attentive and barely checked on us, but everything came out correctly and our drinks came out fast. Overall, this experience has turned me away from The Cottage, and I will not be returning.

Great wine selection. Food is good, priced on the high side. Great appetizer and desserts. The banana foster crepe is my favorite.

Always receive excellent service here. The food is tasty, high end and well prepared. Nice outdoor garden and seating when the weather is good. I'm only in Texas part time, but always visit Cottage Wine Bar when I'm in Nacogdoches.

I hate to tell everyone about this hidden gem because I can get in and ALWAYS get a fantastic meal. Nonetheless, I will tell all ya'll, THIS PLACE IS FREAKING FANTASTIC. How this place is not ranked #1 on Trip Advisor shows you a flaw in the system. The menu is on a regular rotation, and all the specials have been a hit. The "cottage" truly is a cottage filled with abstract art and mid century modern furniture. A quaint bar with fine craft cocktails. Great staff, groovy artistic environment, fantastic food.

First visit, and it was not too bad. Old school funky vibe with great wait staff. If you get the French Toast, split it with someone. ?Parking: Lol @ parking. What parking they have is limited and small.Best advice is to park across the street.

There is no other restaurant anywhere in nacogdoches, Texas better than this. The food is delicious and presented beautifully. I love this place so much! It is a must if you’re anywhere near Nac and you like good food and the best cocktails! Beautiful setting with outdoor dining too. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.
